In 1919, in Yuanping County, Shanxi, Zhang Zhongru was born in a poor family, he studied very hard, and in high school, he interrupted his studies to join the revolutionary cause. After the "July 7 Incident" in 1937, Zhang Zhongru, who was only 18 years old, joined the guerrilla group of the War of Resistance Against Japan and later became a detachment leader for his merits.
In 1943, Zhang Zhongru led a team to ambush the Japanese army at the Daogou Mountain Pass, and was hit by the Japanese army in the left chest and chest, bleeding profusely, and he was rushed to a makeshift operating room. At that time, medical supplies were scarce during the war, and doctors performed breast surgery on him without strict disinfection or anesthetics. Doctors removed the rotting flesh and broken bones from his body and hurried to other war zones. After the doctor left, Zhang Zhongru fell into a coma many times and had a high fever, and his comrades-in-arms sent him to the rear hospital. He had a total of 7 surgeries before and after the rear hospital, and each time there was no general anesthesia, after cutting off 3 ribs, Zhang Zhongru barely survived, relying on tenacious perseverance, he finally recovered, and the doctors all thought it was a miracle. After a period of recuperation, he ignored the doctor's objections and returned to the front line again, continuing to persist in the war of resistance.
During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Zhang Zhongru served as the principal of the first reconnaissance cadre school, with no school building, no equipment, no experience, no training outline, and only a large field. Principal Zhang started from scratch and spent two months to get the school to start as scheduled. He presided over the revision of the first training syllabus, creating the spirit of the school motto of "loyalty, dedication, rigor and truth-seeking". Every morning at 5:30, he would appear on the playground to inspect the cadets' exercises.
After the death of General Zhang Zhongru, there are only 11 founding generals left, and in the group of "founding generals", marshals, generals, generals, and lieutenant generals have all passed away, and the 11 surviving veteran generals are all founding major generals. From 1955 to 1965, the generals who were canonized or promoted in China were: 10 marshals, 10 generals, 57 generals, 177 lieutenant generals, and 1360 major generals. These are all generals with outstanding military achievements, they are for the sake of the new China, for the descendants of Yan huang to no longer be bullied, bloody battles, liver and guts, and finally created a langlang Qiankun.
