Song Jixiang, vice mayor of Manzhouli Municipal Government, said that as of 14:00 on December 14, Manzhouli City had reported a total of 541 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, 496 existing confirmed cases, and 45 cured and discharged cases.

The 2 new confirmed cases were positive in nucleic acid testing during the centralized isolation period, and were diagnosed as confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia after consultation with the expert group.

From 0:00 to 12:00 on December 14, there were no new close contacts in Manzhouli, and a total of 13,526 close contacts were screened.

Song Jixiang said that as of now, 541 positive samples have been detected in Manzhouli nucleic acid test, all of which have been confirmed; the third nucleic acid testing of key populations is being carried out in an orderly manner, and the nucleic acid test results are to be released.

Up to now, of the existing 496 confirmed patients, 226 have been isolated in the Manzhouli Port Medical Treatment Hospital, 268 have been isolated and treated in the Hailar District People's Hospital, and 2 have been isolated and treated in the Second People's Hospital of Hulunbuir City; among the 45 cured patients, 24 have been rehabilitated in the South District Hospital of Manzhouli City, and 21 have been rehabilitated in the Zhongmeng Hospital of Hulunbuir City.

Liu Hongtao, director of the Manzhouli Municipal Health Commission, said at the press conference that in recent days, the good news of patients' cures has been continuously reported in designated hospitals, and discharged patients will be rehabilitated under the guidance of professional rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment teams. At present, the existing capacity of rehabilitation hospitals can meet the rehabilitation needs of patients who have been discharged one after another.

In the rehabilitation stage, experts will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the patient's respiratory function, physical function, psychological function, ability to perform activities of daily living and social participation ability, and formulate individual rehabilitation treatment plans.

"If patients discharged from the hospital with new crown pneumonia have dysfunction such as breathing difficulties, they will adopt breathing mode training, respiratory rehabilitation exercises, aerobic exercise, strength training, psychological rehabilitation interventions, and daily living activity ability training." Liu Hongtao said that through a series of treatment measures, the symptoms and dysfunction of patients discharged from the hospital with new crown pneumonia have been improved and complications have been reduced.
