As a worker in the construction industry, Xiao Pony has his own unique aesthetic, and after getting their first hardcover house, he resolutely decided to overturn the original style and redesign it.
The first time I met the designers Xiao Tong and Fifteen, who designed the light leisurely, because the three views were consistent, at first sight, the pony couple also gradually found the ideal direction of home from communication.
In the concept of the pony, home is the warm world of two people and two cats, the secret space where couples play games together and watch movies happily, the cat people shuttle through the "jungle" of the home, and the happy time when the owner and the pet accompany each other... Ultimately, it is an attitude to life that allows freedom to "pervade" the house, and meeting functional needs is as important as visual needs.
More and more young people who pursue the quality of life face the hardcover houses delivered by developers, whether it is from the layout, the design of the moving line, or from the comfort and aesthetic attitude, more or less have moved the idea of re-decoration or transformation.
In the face of this problem, designer Xiao Tong has a unique insight: compared with the qingshui room, due to the limited completed hard decoration conditions, the design can be changed to play space is not so large, therefore, how to reasonably allocate the existing space proportion according to the needs of the owner, is the focus of the design planning.

Combined with the life scene of the pony couple, most of the time is spent with two cats, so the designer put the main design plan in the living room and the master bedroom. After breaking, connecting, reorganizing, and deforming, a "home" that can accommodate two people's good times was born.
The house area is 129 square meters, the original apartment type is four bedrooms and two halls, the living room is more square, the line of sight is open, and the lighting is good. However, the color shape of floor tiles, tiles, background walls, skirting boards and so on in the house is relatively rigid, and it needs to be slightly modified in the later stage.
The original master bedroom house area is only about 15 square meters, far from meeting the beautiful imagination of the pony couple for the master bedroom. In order to give the space more possibilities, the two communicated and negotiated with the designer to open up the master bedroom and the adjacent second bedroom to form a master bedroom space with games, movies, office and rest, which met a variety of living needs.

In the eyes of the designer fifteen, the couple is a pair of very easy-going young people, giving the designer full trust, but also making the whole program communication process simple and smooth. But because the two people like different styles, one prefers modern and the other prefers retro, the design adopts de-stylization, extracting elements of two styles to integrate into this space, rather than creating a specific style.
In the house planning of the pony couple, the designer proposed the key word of design - "restraint". It means to reduce the change of hard materials, and not to interpret the space with too many hard colors. Therefore, the living room wall is made of warm white art paint, and the ground is paved with micro-cement with the same color system as a whole, creating a sense of unity in the space.
Micro cement materials are more and more loved by young people, as a new type of material that can be adjusted, high-pressure and wear-resistant, often used to express the aesthetics of silence in the space, suitable for people who pursue nature and like texture, and are also particularly suitable for the micro-transformation of hardcover rooms.

The living room is the living space and entertainment place of the two cat families, considering the lively nature of the hairy child, it has not been decorated too much in the pattern, and more attention is paid to the space to leave blank, leaving room for the cat to get along with the owner.
The ponies also specially customized a wooden cat house, which is placed on the left side of the balcony, so that they also have their own "cottage". Designers are also particularly concerned about the comfort of pets at home, warmly arranging "toys" for them for interactive entertainment, but also a super high-value finishing furniture - NORHOR's classic old white pine wood small side table.

"The simplicity of the hard decoration has allowed us to hand over more color matching possibilities to the soft decoration design." The cream custom three-seat sofa is paired with a Ligne Roset single sofa on the right and a classic medieval rattan chair on the left, colliding with the modern frivolous texture.
The TV wall chooses to remove the original design and create a low-saturation solid color background wall that can play a focusing role in the entire space, while not grabbing the line of sight when watching TV.
The dining room is connected to the living room. Walnut-colored cabinets contrast with log-colored tables, making the whole space more layered. The implantable oven has become one of the standards in most modern homes, starting the lazy home baking lifestyle with one click.

When the designer selects soft decoration items for the pony family, he follows the principles of simplicity, simplicity and nature. The classic Chandigarh rattan chair, even after half a century, is not outdated in a light wooden space.
In the scene of the pony fantasizing about the future of life, the two sit at the table, eat hot meals, listen to the noise on the TV, and watch the cat spread on the carpet, which is probably the fireworks of life.
In order to add to the fun of the home space, the designer designed a Van Gogh style puzzle in the corridor part, and the man spent 2 hours to complete this masterpiece, which not only added to the sense of participation of the designer himself, but also left a beautiful and interesting memory.

The master bedroom is the area where this design focuses, and it is also the space that the couple is most looking forward to. In our contact with the pony couple, we strongly felt the male host's desire for game space.
Designer Xiao Tong draws inspiration from the keyword "GAME", a space that is not just a game, but full of infinite possibilities. Just like the building blocks that can be changed and restructured, the appropriate module changes can make the space more vivid.
In the original apartment, the master bedroom and the adjacent second bedroom were not originally connected, the entrance location was far apart, and the moving line arrangement was extremely inconsistent with the needs of the two people. The designer opened up two rooms to become a large suite bedroom with multi-functional entertainment.

The choice of dark gray cabinet color and the blessing of the dark blue color on the top surface lay the foundation for the immersive experience of this multi-purpose room, and it is also the ideal place for the host to wander in the game.

It combines the functions of a video and a cloakroom, and when you lower the curtain, the two of you can slip into the quilt and enjoy a favorite movie.
The master bedroom is bright and refreshing, forming a light and dark pattern with the multi-purpose room, and the tension is moderate. A 4-link sliding door is made between the two rooms, which can be closed as two separate spaces if necessary, without disturbing each other.

The master bedroom chose NORHOR's handmade rattan solid wood bed, and in the pursuit of simplicity and the admiration of natural beauty, rattan weaving has once again become the protagonist of decoration.
The original wooden floor of the master bedroom space was removed and replaced by the current popular herringbone floor, which echoed with the wooden bed and enhanced the flexibility of the entire space.
Home is more than style
It's about the heart
In our contact with the pony, it was clear that she was a young man with ideas. She will choose to change the design team in the middle of the way for the sake of perfection in her heart; she will insist on tearing down the sliding door of the living room and compete with her family who disagree; she will really think about her own needs instead of choosing to adapt.
When I finally interviewed the designer fifteen, her dedication and sincerity were impressive: home is not only about style, but about the heart.
We often ask ourselves what kind of design can be called "good design"? Perhaps this answer can not be generalized, when hearing the pony couple so excited to talk about this home, we firmly believe that this is the result of the joint polishing of the occupants and the leisurely design of the light, so that everything fits the needs, fits the heart, and makes good design an attitude to life.

Many owners do not pay attention to the acceptance process when accepting the hardcover house, resulting in unexpected troubles in the later reinstallation or residence, such as water and electricity problems, safety problems, and closing problems of the hardcover house.
