As an adult, Li Shen learned a lot and became a well-known talent. Once he went out on a trip and saw farmers working in the fields. Under the scorching sun, farmers laboriously lifted their hoes to hoe the ground, and drops of sweat dripped into the soil.
This scene infected Li Sheng, so he wrote the poem "Mercy Nong" that has been passed down through the ages. It can be said that at this time, Li Shen's young heroism is full of ambitions to benefit cangsheng.
Therefore, Li Shen studied harder, hoping that he could win the first place in one fell swoop, so that he could exert his ambitions and seek the well-being of the people of the world.
In 806, Li Shen entered Beijing to take the exam, and finally got his wish to pass the entrance examination. This means that he has entered the path of his career.
But reality and ideals are like black and white. The more he tried to do a good job, the more he could not achieve it, and he was demoted several times.
After experiencing the ups and downs of the eunuch sea, Li Shen seemed to understand the way to be an official. Therefore, he also gradually "gradually became extravagant", and thus smoothly integrated into the official field.
As his official position grew larger, his extravagance became more and more serious. According to records, he could eat thousands of dollars in one meal without even blinking an eye.
In addition, he also maintained prostitutes. Once, when he attended the banquet of his friend Liu Yuxi, he brought a group of private prostitutes to the banquet, and he forced his friend's banquet to become a miasma, and finally dispersed unhappily.
In fact, if Li Shen is just corrupt and extravagant, he has forgotten his original intention and changed from the original petition for the people to ignoring the suffering of the people.
When he was serving as the envoy of Huainan Festival, he oppressed the people and imposed taxes, making the people miserable and fleeing across the river one after another.
You think that's the end of it? Otherwise, he not only oppressed the people, but even his own relatives never had a good face.
According to the "Yunxi Friendship Discussion", before Li Sheng's departure, he often went to a distant relative's house as a guest, and Li Shen called him uncle according to the generation. But after Li Shen became a high official, this uncle came to him for something. But Li Shen was not polite and asked his uncle to find out his identity and come back to him.
In desperation, the uncle could only lower his identity and ask to see Li Sheng as a younger brother. But that doesn't work. In the end, the uncle lowered his status to the grandson, and Li Kun agreed with a smile.
Don't look at Li Kun's viciousness, but on the top is humble and condescending, good at sneaking and patting horses. Because of this, he finally entered Beijing at the age of 69. Become a man above ten thousand people under one man.
However, after 4 years, Li Shen resigned due to stroke, and after 2 years, his illness worsened and he finally died at the age of 75.
