He was promoted to prime minister because of the poem "Noon on the Day of Hoeing", but he became poor and extravagant

Introduction: "At noon on the day of hoeing, the sweat drops down to the soil." Who knows the plate of Chinese food, the grains are hard." Is this poem familiar to everyone? Xiaobian still remembers that I memorized this poem at the beginning of elementary school, and then went through elementary school, junior high school, and high school, and finally found that all school canteens will have this poem, this poem is to praise the peasant uncles, but also to tell us to cherish grain. But do you know what happened to the person who wrote this poem? I think most people don't know, so let me introduce it.

The person who wrote this poem "Mercy Nong" was Li Shen of the Tang Dynasty. Li Shen (772–846), courtesy name Gong chui. His ancestral home was Tan County, Bozhou (亳州, in present-day Tancheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province). He was the prime minister and poet of the Tang Dynasty, and he was also the great-grandson of Zhongshu Ling Li Jing.

Li Shen lost his father when he was six years old, and then moved to Wuxi, Runzhou, with his mother. At the age of twenty-seven, he entered the Jinshi and supplemented the Guozi assistant teacher, which was already very remarkable, because at that time there was such a sentence as "Thirty Old Ming Classics, Fifty Young Jinshi", Li Shen was able to become a Jinshi at the age of twenty-seven, which was really very powerful. Later, he successively served as Zhongshu Shilang, Shangshu Right Servant, and Huainan Jiedushi Envoy, and Died in Yangzhou in the sixth year of Huichang (846) at the age of seventy-four. Posthumously awarded the title of Lieutenant Taiwei (太尉), with the courtesy name "Wen su". This is the life of Li Sheng's character, so when did he write the poem "Mercy Nong"?

According to the records of the Tang Dynasty Fan Xi's "Yunxi Friendship Discussion" and the "Old Book of Tang And Lü Wei Biography" and other books, it can be roughly inferred that this group of poems was composed by Li Shen in the fifteenth year (799) of Tang Dezong Zhenyuan, when Li Sheng was passing through Mizhou, and Li Fengji (then the envoy of Zhejiang Eastern Jiedu) climbed the Guanjiatai in the east of the city with Li Fengji (then the envoy of Zhejiang Eastern Jiedu) in the same year, he saw the farmers in the field, hoeing the ground in the fiery sun, so he couldn't help but recite this poem, but this poem was actually not finished, there were 4 sentences after it, that is, planting a grain of millet in spring and harvesting ten thousand seeds in autumn. There is no idle field in the world, and the farmer is starving to death! Later, Li Fengji thought that he was slandering the imperial court, so he secretly reported to Emperor Wuzong (in fact, he wanted to step on the head of the same year), but Emperor Wuzong saw this poem and was not angry, but instead promoted Li Sheng's official, and promoted him to shangshu's right servant, that is, the prime minister, Li Sheng ascended to heaven one step at a time, and that same year he was later transferred to Yunnan to observe (demotion).

But Li Sheng, who became a high official, became a little strange. After becoming a high official, he was extremely extravagant, and he loved to eat chicken tongue, so he consumed more than 300 live chickens per meal, and the chickens slaughtered behind the courtyard were piled up. At the same time, he also became abusive. According to the records in the "Yunxi Friendship Discussion", before Li Sheng's departure, he often visited the home of a person named Li Yuanjiang, and every time he saw Li Yuanjian, he called him "uncle". After Li Gentry's departure, Li Yuan will take the initiative to lower his generational score because he wants to seduce him, calling himself "brother" and "nephew", Li Gentry appears unhappy, until Li Yuan will call himself "grandson", Li Gentry reluctantly accepts.

Because Li Shen was a cruel official, the local people were often frightened, and many people even crossed the Yangtze River and the Huai River to flee, and his subordinates reported to him: "The local people have escaped a lot. Li Shen said, "Have you ever seen holding wheat in your hand?" The full grains are always below, and those chaff go with the wind, and this does not have to be reported.

He later became like this, did you think?
