The Tenth National Congress of the China Writers Association is about to be held in Beijing, as an online writer and a member of the Ninth National Committee of the China Writers Association, looking back on the past five years, I can't help but feel excited and emotional.
The China Writers Association has helped establish network writers associations in various provinces and cities, vigorously strengthened the construction of the team of network writers; effectively solved the difficulties of network writers, promoted the evaluation of professional titles to increase the sense of belonging; established a hierarchical and classified training system to help writers absorb spiritual strength; supported the creation of fine products, and promoted the overseas of online texts... Pile by pile, piece by piece, looking back on the five years of road, I only feel warm in my heart.
General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the Literary and Art Work Forum in 2014, mentioning the new literary and artistic group of online writers, and asking them to "look at them with a new eye, unite and attract them with new policies and methods, and guide them to become a living force for the prosperity of socialist literature and art."
With the innovation of the Internet, online literature has flourished and has become an important part of socialist literature and occupies a very important position in the spiritual life of the masses. And the creators of online literature, online writers, have also gloriously become a member of the big family of the China Writers Association. The China Writers Association attaches great importance to and cares for online writers, and has absorbed and supported a large number of online writers.
For online writers, the China Writers Association and various member units of various groups have conscientiously studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on literary and artistic work, adopted various forms of support and assistance, and successively established a number of provincial and municipal online literary organizations. At present, 20 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government have established online writers associations, including Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Guizhou and other western regions. There are also nearly 140 online literary organizations at all levels in provinces and cities. The Zhejiang Provincial Writers Association, where I work, has taken the lead in achieving full coverage of municipal network writer organizations.
In addition to strengthening the construction of the team of online writers, the China Writers Association and the member units of various groups are also effectively solving difficulties and problems in the creation and life of online writers. For example, in 2020, the identity of online writers was officially included in the scope of title review, which greatly enhanced the sense of identity and belonging of online writers for the Writers Association, which is the "home" of our online writers.
The China Writers Association has also established an online and offline hierarchical classification training system to accelerate the iteration of the team of online writers. In activities such as collecting styles, salons, training camps, theme seminars, and China Internet Literature Week, online writers can not only get together to exchange creative experiences, but also learn from Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
According to relevant statistics, the Online Literature Center of the China Writers Association organized a total of 10,029 online writer training, of which 8,021 were online training and 2,008 were offline training. After participating in the activities with many writers and friends, I drew spiritual strength from the major achievements and historical experience of the party's century-old struggle, stimulated the surging enthusiasm for creation, and made the works more warm.
As for online literary works, the China Writers Association and the member units of various groups actively support online writers to create fine works, and at the same time vigorously call on online writers to adhere to the correct creative orientation, guide online writers to create works with themes such as fighting the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the community of human destiny, and the dream of a strong country, and promote the diversification of online literature themes, the enrichment of types, and the expansion of the pattern.
At the same time, the China Writers Association is also vigorously expanding the channels of external communication, promoting online texts to go to sea, and telling Chinese stories well. More and more people like and accept online literature, its dissemination power and influence are no longer limited to China, many excellent online literary works have been translated into multinational languages, realized cultural going to sea, and participated in the great process of spreading Chinese civilization worldwide. Taking my personal creations as an example, novels and comics such as "Breaking the Sky", "Wudong Qiankun", "The Great Lord", and "Yuanzun" have been translated into English, Korean, Japanese, French, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese and other Chinese, and have been distributed to North America, Europe, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and other regions, and have achieved good influence.
Under the correct leadership of the China Writers Association and the member units of various groups, online literature has ushered in rapid development. Books, audiobooks, comics, animations derived from novels, and output to the direction of film and television, games, etc., countless industries have been opened up, and a complete online literature IP ecological map has been constructed. In the past five years, the animation, film and television adaptations of online literary works have ushered in a peak period, and the ratings and topics have exploded again and again. The platform is integrated one after another, the omni-channel is opened, and personalized recommendations are directly pushed to interested readers. The rise of free reading, coexisting and parallel with paid reading, the two business models are both competitive and mutually transformed, which has effectively promoted the development of the online literature industry.
