Lanzhou, December 13 (Reporter Yang Na) Gansu Provincial People's Hospital disclosed on the 13th that the 2021 Evidence-based Science and Knowledge Transformation Forum held in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, recently focused on the promotion and popularization of evidence-based concepts and methods in multidisciplinary fields, and promoted evidence research and practical application.

In view of the changes in the global disease spectrum at the end of the 20th century, in order to scientifically judge the comprehensive treatment efficacy of multi-caused diseases and improve the therapeutic effect, "evidence-based medicine" is a practical science developed in this exploration. It integrates the cutting-edge technologies and methods of clinical epidemiology, statistics, informatics, economics, pharmacy, preventive medicine and other disciplines that developed and applied during the same period, and soon expanded from the field of clinical medicine to preventive medicine, nursing, psychology, education, diagnostics, economics and other fields.

Hong Xia, member and secretary general of the Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence-based Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and professor of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, said at the conference that the development of the new crown pneumonia epidemic has made everyone further realize the great role played by clinical epidemiology and evidence-based medicine in health policy formulation and protection of people's health. Through this conference, she hopes to further deepen everyone's understanding of evidence-based medicine and the study of evidence-based science and practical knowledge, and jointly promote the development of evidence-based medicine.

Guo Tiankang, vice chairman of the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former chairman of the Evidence-based Medicine Branch of the Provincial Medical Doctor Association, pointed out that the Chinese Robot Gastric Cancer Surgery Guidelines (2021 Edition) released this time are the first national evidence-based clinical practice guidelines initiated and led by Gansu, which is a successful example of the best evidence clinical translation and application, and an important step for Gansu to improve the quality of clinical medical practice and expand the influence of medicine.

Cai Hui, president of Gansu Provincial People's Hospital, said that the close exchange between the Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence-based Medicine Branch of the Gansu Medical Association and the Evidence-based Medicine Professional Committee of the Gansu Medical Doctor Association reflects the temperature of evidence-based medicine, and the cross-integration with various clinical disciplines through a variety of platforms reflects the breadth and depth of evidence-based. In the future, it is necessary to take evidence-based as the basis, take the project as a bridge, and make breakthroughs with special topics to better promote the development of evidence-based medicine in various fields.

It is understood that in order to be closer to the needs of the grassroots and the frontline of service practice, the forum conference also carried out five themes of evidence-based clinical research, evidence-based orthopedics, evidence-based integrated chinese and Western medicine anesthesia, evidence-based imaging medicine, evidence-based social science research frontiers and progress, for clinicians, researchers, policy makers and managers to build a bridge and platform for mutual exchange and cooperation, and jointly promote the development of evidence-based science.
