There were 10 new cured and discharged cases, including 4 cases from the United States, 1 case from Mongolia, 1 case from Japan, 1 case from Singapore, 1 case from Ghana, 1 case from Tanzania and 1 case from Russia.
Case 1 is a Chinese national, who studied in Canada, departed from Canada, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on 23 January 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation after entering customs, during which he developed symptoms. Combined with epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, and imaging findings, the diagnosis is confirmed as a confirmed case.
Cases 2 and 3 are both Chinese nationals, husband and wife, working in Guinea, departing from Guinea, transiting through France, arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on 28 January 2022, and after entering customs, they were placed under centralized isolation and observation, during which they developed symptoms. Combined with epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, and imaging findings, the diagnosis is confirmed as a confirmed case.
Case 4, a Chinese national traveling in Hong Kong, departed from Hong Kong, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on 17 January 2022, and was placed under centralized quarantine and observation after entering customs. Closed-loop health monitoring is carried out, during which nucleic acid testing is abnormal. The laboratory of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention was positive. After consultation with the municipal expert group, the diagnosis was confirmed as a confirmed case based on the comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging results.
Case 5, a Japanese national living in Japan, departed from Japan and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on 28 January 2022, where he was placed under centralized isolation and observation after entering customs, during which he developed symptoms. Combined with epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, and imaging findings, the diagnosis is confirmed as a confirmed case.
Case 6, a Chinese national working in Serbia, departed from Serbia, transited through Austria, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on 29 January 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation after entering customs, during which he developed symptoms. Combined with epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, and imaging findings, the diagnosis is confirmed as a confirmed case.
Case 7 is a Chinese national who studied in the United States, departed from the United States, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on 2 February 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation after entering customs, during which he developed symptoms. Combined with epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, and imaging findings, the diagnosis is confirmed as a confirmed case.
Seven imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 55 relevant close contacts have been traced, and all of them have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.
At 0-24:00 on February 3, 2022, there were no new confirmed cases of local COVID-19.
At 0-24:00 on February 3, 2022, 1 case of imported asymptomatic infection abroad was lifted from medical observation.
