According to the administrative penalty information, between January 2011 and November 2021, Beijing Douwang Technology Co., Ltd. published and disseminated online publications containing the prohibited content described in Article 24 of the Provisions on the Administration of Online Publishing Services, and there were no illegal gains. On December 8, 2021, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism issued a penalty decision: a fine of RMB 1000.

According to the Tianyancha APP, Douban website is a social network specializing in movies, music, reading, radio, etc., and belongs to Beijing Douwang Technology Co., Ltd.

Douban has been fined many times this year. On December 2, the Cyberspace Administration of China issued a notice saying that the person in charge of the Cyberspace Administration of the People's Republic of China interviewed the main responsible person and editor-in-chief of Douban on December 1, and in view of the recent repeated occurrence of information prohibited by laws and regulations on Douban and its accounts, in accordance with the "Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China" and other laws and regulations, ordered it to immediately rectify, seriously deal with the relevant responsible persons, and imposed an administrative penalty of a total of 1.5 million yuan in fines on Beijing Douwang Technology Co., Ltd., the main operator of Douban Network, in accordance with the law. The Cyberspace Administration of China pointed out that this is the 20th time that Douban has been punished, of which it has been fined 500,000 yuan for many times, and has been fined 9 million yuan so far.

On December 9, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that 106 apps were removed from the shelves, and Douban was also among them, and the problem involved was the collection of personal information beyond the scope. (Zhongxin Jingwei APP)
