Samsung will push the 8K Neo-QLED TV, which only has 4K products

In 2022, Samsung plans to launch a number of 8K MiniLED TVs equipped with the latest Neo QLED panels, as well as many 4K OLED and MiniLED TVs. Among them, OLED TVs will have part of the panel from LG Display.

This will be followed by 4K QD-OLED and OLED TVs, of which QD-OLED is the most interesting to me. This technology, which has been the most three-star pigeon for 2 years, can finally meet with everyone, but this move that is not used on 8K TV also means that Samsung's attitude towards QD-OLED next year is also more experimental. Pure OLED TVs use panels from LG Display.

Interestingly, LG Display actually has a more high-end 8K OLED panel, but Samsung did not choose to launch an 8K OLED TV. The Elec said that this is because Samsung wants to highlight the Neo QLED and also positions the Neo QLED higher than the OLED.

Finally, there's the 4K Neo QLED TV. These TVs will also use Samsung's latest Neo QLED technology, but the resolution is only 4K, and it is clear that Samsung is positioned to highlight its 8K plus Neo QLED TV combination.

Samsung's sales target for 2022 further shows the positioning of the 8k Neo QLED TV. Samsung has set a target sales target of 3 million units for the 8k Neo QLED, while the 4K QD-OLED TV is 500,000 units and the 4K OLED TV is 1.5 million units, and it is expected that Samsung will push the 8K TV next year.
