One day in December 1950, a plane carrying 24 women landed in Tokyo, and as soon as they got off the plane, they headed straight for MacArthur's office. 24 jewelly dressed ladies surrounded MacArthur, tearful before they could speak, pleading with MacArthur to bring their sons or husbands back from the front, where they had been beaten to blood by Chinese.

At this time, on the front line of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the second campaign was in full swing. After the end of the first battle, Mr. Peng, who had won the battle, warned everyone: This victory is not worthy of publicity and pride, and the US military has not shown its real combat effectiveness. MacArthur, who lost the battle: Chinese only came to defend the Chosin Reservoir power station, the number of people was small, and the occasional failure did not affect the overall situation at all.
The very different mentalities of the two sides doomed the tragedy of the Chinese and American forces in the second battle. The second battle lasted 30 days, compared with the first battle for only 12 days, which is enough to explain the complexity and cruelty of the battle. MacArthur, who had already eaten a smouldering blow, was still blind and ordered the troops to split into two directions and venture forward separately.

However, the outcome of the battle left MacArthur unable to sit still. In the second battle, known to American scholars as the "Battle of Qingchang", the volunteer army recovered all the territory north of the 38th Line except Xiangyang in one fell swoop. The US 7th Infantry Division and the 1st Marine Division on the Eastern Front, and the US Eighth Army on the Western Front fled south for more than 300 kilometers in one go, which is known as the "farthest rout" in the history of the US Army.
In particular, the US Eighth Army on the Western Front showed the world the wretchedness of the total collapse of the front. The 2nd Infantry Division, which has always been regarded as the pride of the U.S. Army, was originally a combative veteran unit, and in 1900 it joined the Eight-Nation Alliance and took the lead in invading the capital of the Qing Dynasty. Today, however, the 2nd Division abandoned half of its heavy equipment and almost all of its wounded, and fled back south of the 38th Parallel in one fell swoop.

Kaiser, commander of the 2nd Division, was still distraught when he fled, and he reported to The Commander of the 2nd Army, Felidenda, that the 2nd Division had suffered "the doom of almost the collapse of the establishment." Feridenda couldn't say anything because he saw MacArthur hiding in a warm office 1,000 kilometers away and directing operations through maps and radios, so he did the same, commanding operations with "unimpeded radio and detailed battlefield intelligence" in bunkers 200 kilometers from the front line.
Although I know that this is not good, as long as I can win the battle, the winner is not to blame. I just didn't expect the US military to lose, and it was so badly defeated. In the second campaign, the Coalition forces annihilated more than 36,000 people, including more than 24,000 American troops. It was a complete war of annihilation, after which the Volunteers took full control of the area of engagement, and the enemy's losses were counted by corpses and prisoners, and there was no moisture at all.

Mary Margaret Truman, the daughter of the American biographer and Truman, wrote in her diary: "There was amazing news that the eighth episode of the army was killed in a river of blood and collapsed. Her request to her father to confirm the news caused even greater panic.
The 24 noble ladies immediately chartered a plane to Tokyo for the sole purpose of releasing our sons or husbands (early exemption from military service) and withdrawing them to Tokyo if it was not possible. Looking at the mournful "Lady Outside the Courtyard Group", MacArthur expressed the greatest sympathy, and then decisively rejected them.

The defeat of the American army was inevitable, and when MacArthur and Felidenda sat in the command post far from the front line with steaming coffee and said that they would share the hardships with the soldiers, Mr. Peng set up a command post just beyond the range of the American artillery, because the air defense could not make a fire, and his ration was only frozen potatoes.
