Recently, the 3rd Chaoshan Regional Spine Minimally Invasive Technology Summit Forum and the 2021 Chaozhou Medical Association Spine Surgery Branch Academic Annual Meeting were held in Chaozhou City. Well-known experts from china and provinces gathered in Chaozhou to bring new progress and new knowledge of minimally invasive spine technology through special lectures, academic exchanges, live surgical demonstrations and other forms, effectively promoting the academic exchanges of spine surgery practitioners in Chaoshan area and helping to improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment level of spine surgeons.
The event was jointly sponsored by the Spine Surgery Branch of Chaozhou Medical Association, the Spine Disease Professional Committee of Guangdong Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Spine Pain and Endoscopic Technology Professional Committee of The Spine Pain and Endoscopy Branch of Guangdong Rehabilitation Medical Association, and the Spine Surgery Professional Committee of Guangdong Medical Education Association, and co-organized by Chaozhou People's Hospital and Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and co-organized by many hospitals in China.
This academic seminar is rich in content and diverse in form, not only the latest progress in diagnosis and treatment of this specialty, but also the sharing of clinical case experience, which brings enlightenment and valuable reference to improving the level of individualized and standardized treatment of spinal diseases in Chaoshan area. At the meeting, Professor Zhou Yue of Xinqiao Hospital of Army Military Medical University, Professor Zhang Xifeng of Chang Gung Hospital of Tsinghua University, and Professor Chen Bolai of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine respectively gave keynote speeches such as "Twenty Years of Development and Prospect of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery in China", "Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery is the Future of Spine Surgery", "Discussion on the Choice, Value and Future of Cervical Endoscopic Surgery".
The application of discoscopy in senile spinal stenosis, belif surgical techniques and precautions, surgical treatment of special types of lumbar disc herniation, case discussion of lumbar disc herniation... Spine experts from major hospitals in the province and famous doctors from various hospitals in Chaoshan area also focused on the hot spots and difficult problems of minimally invasive spine technology, and brought lectures on the academic frontiers of spine surgery.
The academic event also held 4 network live broadcasts of minimally invasive spine surgery at Chaozhou People's Hospital. Among them, the first live operation was mainly knifed by Professor Zhang Xifeng of Chang Gung Hospital affiliated to Tsinghua University, and was explained by Zhang Xifeng; the second live operation was the spinal degenerative venereal disease of the team of Professor Chen Bolai of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was explained by Chen Bo. Through the way of online live broadcast, the participating spine surgeons and domestic counterparts can watch the practice of academic celebrities together.
In recent years, with the application of a large number of new technologies and new concepts to the clinic, the development of minimally invasive spine technology is changing with each passing day. According to Sun Guangyu, president of Chaozhou People's Hospital, since the establishment of the Department of Spine Surgery of Chaozhou People's Hospital in October 2018, it has invested a lot of money to purchase advanced specialized equipment, so that there are more methods and ways to treat spinal diseases, the volume of routine surgery and minimally invasive surgery of the spine has increased year by year, the four-level surgical rate is in the forefront of the hospital surgical system, and the spine surgery department adheres to the concept of minimally invasive, relieving pain for spine patients and receiving good social benefits. Since 2019, the institute has held the Chaoshan Regional Minimally Invasive Technology Summit Forum for three consecutive years.
The participating physicians said that participating in this summit forum has benefited a lot, and while feeling the academic event where big coffee gathered, the minimally invasive knowledge system of the spine and the hot topics discussed during the conference can also effectively guide the clinical diagnosis and treatment work, which is conducive to further improving the level of minimally invasive spine technology in the region.
