On December 11, Beijing time, the Winter Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport announced the list of participants in the Figure Skating Pair Skating and Ice Dance Events at the Beijing Winter Olympics, and the list of participants in the men's and women's singles skating events needed to be selected through selection.

In the previous competition for the qualification for the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Chinese figure skating team won two seats in the pair skating, and the men's singles, women's singles and ice dance each won one seat.

According to the Winter Games Center, in view of the fact that pair skaters Sui Wenjing/Han Cong, Peng Cheng/Jin Yang won the first and second places in the Italian stage of the Figure Skating Grand Prix, they were determined to be participants in the Winter Olympics; ice dancers Wang Shiyue/Liu Xinyu achieved better results in Italy and were also determined to be participants in the Winter Olympics. Other athletes in the country who meet the minimum total technical score and are eligible to participate in the Olympic Games are substituted.

The list of participants for the Winter Olympics in men's and women's singles will be based on the "Measures for the Selection of Athletes for the Beijing Winter Olympics in Figure Skating", after the end of the five Olympic trials held between December 16, 2021 and January 22, 2022.

According to the requirements, the participants in the single skating selection competition must meet the age of the figure skaters of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, that is, born before July 1, 2006. At the same time, in international competitions recognized by the ISU Championship or the ITU, the minimum total technical score (points) applicable to the current or previous season of the ISU Championship must be achieved. A total of 6 athletes who met the conditions of this selection competition were men's single skaters Jin Boyang, Yan Han and Chen Yudong, and women's single skaters Chen Hongyi, Zhu Yi and Lin Shan.
