Creative background

This poem was written during Wang Wei's later years in seclusion in Lantian. Wang Wei believed in Buddhism in his early years, his thinking was detached, and his career was bumpy, and he lived a half-official and half-hidden life after the age of forty. The poet leisurely meets with the quiet and pure attributes of the bamboo forest and the bright moon itself in the state of peace and tranquility, and the life is written.

The environment in which the poet is active is written in the opening sentence is very secluded. The first word "alone" leaves a prominent impression on the reader, and this "alone" word also runs through the whole text. "Yu Huang" refers to the deep bamboo forest. The Chu Ci Jiu Ge Mountain Ghost says: "The rest of the hedge will never see the sky." "Zhuliguan", as the name suggests, is a house built deep in the bamboo forest, and Wang Wei sits alone in it. His friend Pei Di's poem with the same inscription reads: "In and out of the mountain birds, deep and unworldly." The first sentence of the poem alone creates the image of a leisurely solitary.

The second sentence continues to write that the poet is leisurely alone, borrowing the piano and the long whistle to express his emotions. We know that Wang Wei is a famous musician, so after passing the entrance examination, he became a Tai Le Cheng . But sitting alone in the Takerikan and playing the piano is obviously not for people to enjoy, but to express his own embrace. "Long roar" refers to the long voice to chant poetry loudly, such as Su Shi's "And the Forest to be Made": "Sooner or later Yuanming will return, and the hao song will be long and howling." As for the "篁" in the first sentence and the "forest" in the third sentence, they are actually the same thing, which is to repeat the bamboo forest in which the poet is in the middle, and add the words "you" and "deep" in front of the bamboo forest, but it shows that it is neither the "bamboo of three poles and two poles" mentioned in Yu Xin's "Xiaoyuan Fu", nor the "twelve stems under the eaves" mentioned in Liu Zongyuan's poem "Qingshui Yi Cong Bamboo", but a dense bamboo forest that is both quiet and deep. Here, it is like writing out the foreground objects at random, without any effort to portray and decorate.

Three or four sentences to write about their inner world no one can understand. "Deep forest people do not know" is the meaning of the poem, if you do not care about people know or do not know, then he will not write this poem, since he wrote this poem, it shows that he still hopes that someone can understand himself, unfortunately only accompanied by a bright moon in the sky. The opening sentence writes "people do not know", and the ending sentence writes "moonshine", which can also be said to echo each other.

In the poem, the activities of the characters are only composed of six words, that is, "sitting alone, playing the piano, and shouting". For the characters, neither depicting their playing and whistling, nor expressing their joys and sorrows; for the piano and whistle, they did not spend any ink to write their tone and sound. On the surface, the words used in the four poems are unremarkable. However, the four poems together are self-contained in their own wisdom, and the realm is self-explanatory, containing a special artistic charm. As a famous work in Wang Wei's "The Collection of Yuanchuan", its beauty lies in the fact that it shows such a naturally attractive mood. It does not win by words, but by beauty in the whole. Its beauty lies in the absence of God, and to appreciate and appreciate its beauty, it should also be left behind to take the god, and its god is conceived in the artistic conception. As far as the artistic conception is concerned, it not only gives people the feeling of "quiet and unworldly" ("The Poetry of the Servants"), as Shi Shuhua said, but also makes people feel that the scenery of the forest on this moonlit night is so empty and clear, the people who play the piano and whistle in it are so relaxed and self-satisfied, the dust and worry are empty, and the exterior and the inner situation are seamless and integrated. It is conceivable that the formation of the artistic conception of the poem depends on the consistency of the character's mental nature and the inner quality of the scene written, without the need to rely on the external hue. Therefore, when the poet is in harmony with the material society, love and scenery, he can, as Sikong Tu said in the "Poetry and Nature Chapter", "looking down is to do it, not to take the neighbors, the way is suitable for the future, and the beginning is spring", and enter the artistic world of "thin words and feelings, leisurely and heavenly jun". Of course, when we say "looking down", we do not mean that the poet has no choice in the selection of materials and comes with his hands; here we say "starting to spring", nor does it mean that the poet has no arrangement when he holds the pipe. The poem describes the surrounding scenery, choosing the bamboo forest and the bright moon, which is originally consistent with the quiet and clear environment to be displayed; in the poem, the self-feelings are expressed, and the piano and the long whistle are chosen, and the pure state of mind that is to be expressed is taken as the surface.
