The most outstanding poets of the Tang Dynasty were None other than Li Bai DuFu, and the most outstanding poets other than Li Bai Du Fu have always been inconsistent. But some poets say: Tang Wu Li, Du, Maha should be the first to recommend! There is also a saying that Li Bai is a genius, Du Fu is a talent, and Wang Wei is a talent. Although these are all family words, Wang Wei is indeed one of the most outstanding poets in the Tang Dynasty.
Su Dongpo once said: There are paintings in the poems of The Taste of The Maha, and there are poems in the paintings of the Observation of the Paintings! This sentence can be said to be the best summary of Wang Wei's talent and achievements, Wang Wei's landscape poetry has its own poetic feelings, the artistry is even higher than Li Du, and he is also a painter, working in landscapes and flowers, and posterity has pushed him as the ancestor of Nanzong landscape painting, and is praised as "the first chair in the Sheng Tang painting world"!
Wang Wei is also proficient in musical rhythms, good at seal engraving, or a master of calligraphy, it can be said that Wang Wei is a rare artistic all-rounder in sheng tang! And his highest achievement is poetry and painting, his landscape poetry and landscape painting can be described as complementary, the magic is that "there is a painting in the poem, there is poetry in the painting"!
The following small poem is one of Wang Wei's most classic poems, which properly interprets the meaning of "there are paintings in poetry, and there are poems in paintings":

Listen to the water silently.
Spring flowers are still there,
People come and the birds are not alarmed.

Everyone has studied this poem when they were in elementary school, but they may not be able to fully understand it when they are young, and perhaps they only regard it as a beautiful landscape poem. In fact, although this poem is short of four sentences and completely writes about the scene, it is not written about the real scene, but the "painting" of the middle scene!
The title of this poem is only one word- "Painting", which actually shows that this is a poet who appreciates a landscape painting and writes a poem for the painting, taking the "landscape flowers and birds" in the painting and describing its scenes! But the poet did not simply describe it as a static painting, but integrated it, combined dynamic and static, and wrote this painting "alive"!
"Looking at the mountains from a distance is colored", the painting is a close-up look, but the mountain in the painting is hazy, as if people are in front of the painting, and the mountain in the painting is in the distance, so look at it from a distance! What color the color of the mountain is not elaborated, but it seems to be vaguely blurred to show the quiet beauty of the distant mountains!
The next sentence "close to the water is silent" is a dynamic description, the water in the painting has been fixed, but the painter paints the water as if it is flowing, so the poet who appreciates the painting can't help but "hear" the sound of the water, naturally it is "water silent"!
These two sentences are still and moving, not only depicting the beauty of the landscape in the painting, but also implicitly expressing the superbness of the painting, painting the mountains obscure, painting water as if flowing, the mountains are still, the water is moving, all are clear!
The last two sentences, "The flowers are still in the spring, and the birds are not alarmed" describe the flowers and birds in the painting, the spring in the world has passed, and the flowers in the painting are still blooming, as if they really exist. The bird in the painting is even more exquisite, and the poet comes to appreciate the painting but the bird does not frighten away. This sentence "People come and birds are not alarmed" is particularly wonderful, as if the poet entered the world of painting and reveled in it!
Wang Wei's "Painting" can be described as the peak of his artistic achievements, appreciating the painting and taking the poetry in the painting, the poetry is like painting in front of the eyes, the poetry is picturesque, the combination is just right, it is called wonderful to the extreme, the aesthetic is extreme!
But unfortunately, Wang Wei's poem was not included in the Quan Tang Poems, so many poets questioned that this poem was not Wang Wei's work, but by the Qing Dynasty poet Gao Ding.
