"Scholars" is an elite social group unique to ancient China. In the long course of history, the Chinese nation has produced a large number of outstanding scholars and doctors, such as Confucius, Cai Yong, the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest", Tao Yuanming, Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, Lin Zexu, etc., who have studied knowledge and disseminated culture, are active participants in the country's political life, and are the creators and inheritors of traditional Chinese culture.

This exhibition selects 150 sets of precious cultural relics, divided into three parts: embracing the world, escaping the world and elegant art, through ancient Chinese bronzes, gold and silverware, porcelain, jade, stone carvings, furniture, calligraphy and painting, books and other cultural relics, with "scholars" as the center, expressed under the influence of Confucian traditional culture, their highest life ideals of "self-cultivation, family unity, governance, and peace in the world", as well as the spiritual pursuit and artistic aesthetics reflected by paying attention to personal cultivation and cultivating disposition. These elegant tastes are not only the interpretation of their lifestyles, aesthetic attitudes and philosophical ideas, but also an integral part of China's excellent traditional culture.
