Genesis 11" "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
Gen. 2:1 "All things in heaven and earth have been created."
Gen. 2:2 "By the seventh day, the work of God's creation was finished, and on the seventh day he rested all his work and rested."
Gen. 2:3 "God blessed the seventh day as a holy day, for on this day God rested all his creative work and rested in peace." "Seven" is represented in the Bible as complete. In the process of creation, God proclaimed "good" seven times, "This is how things are done, rested on the "seventh day," and "blessed the seventh day."
In the original Hebrew text, God used 7 words to declare the end of the day's work of creation in the first six days, while the "seventh day" first used 7 words to declare that "by the seventh day, the work of God's creation has been completed", and then used 7 words to declare that "on the seventh day he rested all his work and rested in peace", solemn and complete.
"God blessed the seventh day and designated it as a holy day" because on this day God's purpose of creation was fulfilled and the purpose of work was fulfilled; God specifically sanctified the "seventh day" to indicate the purpose of God's creation: The purpose of all God's work is to let man and all things enter into rest because of his rest.
Creation was the will of all things to enter into "rest."
The first six days end with "there is evening and there is morning," but the seventh day is not, indicating that this "rest" is not limited by time.
Above: The French Republican Calendar is a revolutionary calendar introduced during the French Revolution in 1793 to sever the calendar's ties with Christianity.
