According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) on November 29, a newly released survey shows that among newborns born in Japan in 2021, the most commonly used name for boys is the word "lotus", and the word "䌷" is used by girls.
According to reports, the survey was conducted by Japan's MingJijida Life Company based on information on insured persons, and this year a total of 17,000 newborns were surveyed, and the most used words were found. The survey also showed that because this year's Summer Olympics were held in Tokyo, Japan, the names of some well-known Olympians were also welcomed by Japanese parents, including gymnastics gold medalist Daiki Hashimoto's "Daihui" and table tennis player Mizutani Hayabusa's "hayabusa" pronunciation is the same as the "pure" character.
