Xie Ann struggled to close the gap in the ensuing race, and finally finished qualifying in second place, getting the opportunity to start in the first row in the first round.
In this year's Greater Bay Area GT Cup, The BoP of Mercedes-AMG and BMW Racing adopted the settings of Level 2 and Black USB Stick BoP 2020 respectively, and the grade mismatch was obviously contrary to international standards, resulting in a significant gap in the dynamic performance of the car. Obviously, the organizers' understanding of the BOP concept of GT racing is not clear, and the BoP standards between different models are not uniform, which artificially creates objective unfair factors and weakens the role of drivers in the race.
Xie Ann believes that this approach is not reasonable: "I think that this time the tournament did not develop a BoP according to the standards that are already mature in international competitions. We could see that the BMW car was more than two seconds ahead of the other cars in the first straight, and in the face of such a clear disadvantage, all we could do was to reflect the problem to the race. If this is not adjusted, it will obviously disappoint in terms of the fairness and impartiality of the event. ”
