According to the British "Sun" reported on November 10, the police found a disfigured "elephant man" mummy body in a cave on a volcano on the evening of the 9th. Police said the body was male, about 50 years old, well-dressed and had obvious "nasal and facial deformities", but no other visible scars were found. The body was found on the slopes of Mount Etna in Zafrana, Sicily, Italy, by a German Shepherd named Halma during a joint police and mountain rescue exercise. Police said Halma returned in a very "agitated state" after entering the cave, after which police entered the cave and were shocked to find a body.
