Since the "northward migration of Asian elephant herds" entered the jurisdiction of Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, the Yuxi Municipal Public Security Bureau has sent a drone monitoring team to follow the elephant herd all the way to carry out high-altitude monitoring, while grasping the dynamics of the elephant herd, better protect the safety of the masses. The four team members took up their posts in shifts 24 hours a day, fought for 43 consecutive days, took off and landed 1125 UAV flights, and accumulated flight time of 347 flight hours, and successively traveled to Asan, Hongta, Yimen and other places.
Drones have become clairvoyants and tailwind ears for tracking and protecting wild elephant herds, and the 4 team members responsible for monitoring have also become veritable "elephant chasers" and "amateur" photographers who photograph wild animals.
