Ulungu Lake
Located in the Fuhai region of Altay, on the road from Urumqi to Altay, Ulungu Lake is the second largest freshwater lake in Xinjiang, with nearly 100,000 hectares.
This is a "blue ocean" in the Gobi, vast and deep, lonely and full of life, very rare.
It's also a bird's paradise, with countless seagulls circling here in summer and autumn, and you can go birdwatching by boat.
By the way, not only Ulungu Lake, but also the road from Urumqi to Altay is also beautiful, don't forget to enjoy the scenery on the way.
Burzin Colorful Beach
Burzin, a small county town bordering Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia, also has a fairytale feel to its architecture.
Burzin is usually a rest stop on the way to Hemu and Kanas, where you can rest for the night on the mountain. In the evening, you can go to the night market to find food, and the barbecue at the night market is not bad.
Colorful beach
When you come to Burqin, you will generally go to Xia Wucaitan, which is about 30 minutes' drive from the county seat.
The only river on the mainland that flows into the Arctic Ocean divides it into two, half beach and half forest. There are several viewing platforms in the scenic area, and you can take photos of the sunset and the river panorama when you climb the viewing platform.
It is recommended to go after eating, and it is best to watch when the sun sets (Xinjiang usually gets dark after 10 o'clock in the evening).

How should I play when I come to Hemu?
Hemu is not very big, after entering the scenic spot, it is recommended to stay in the old village, and the play is basically around the vicinity.
Hemu Village is not very big, you can walk around the village a few times to take pictures. Now the wildflowers of Hemu are about to bloom, and it is very fairytale to take pictures with the Tuvan wooden house.
For panoramic views of the village and sunrise and sunset, go to the Sunrise (Harden) Observation Deck and Sunset Observation Deck. The sunset viewing platform is at the entrance of the village, and the sunset of Hemu is about 10 o'clock in the evening, so if you want to see the sunset, you can calculate the time to go.
The Sunrise Observatory is a good place to see the morning fog, so be sure to arrive before sunrise to see the morning fog.
For a more off-the-beaten-path view, head to the Great Beauty Peak, a small village of nine families that can be reached on horseback/on foot.
In the village, you can ride a horse to the Great Beautiful Peak, but horseback riding will be more pitty and you can't play freely, so it is recommended to hike there.
Kanas

Kanas Lake + Turuk petroglyphs
It is recommended to live in Kanas Old Village, so that you can take a break and take a scenic bus directly to Kanas Lake. One more thing, it is not recommended to live in Jia Dengyu, Jia Dengyu to Kanas scenic transfer center has to drive for 1 hour, which is very inconvenient.
When the weather is clear, the water of Kanas Lake is very quiet blue, and the forest is glowing green, so it is very comfortable to sit by the lake and watch the scenery.
You can also take a boat trip to the lake, and tickets can be booked at the transfer center in Kanas.
If you come in summer, it is also recommended to go rafting and take the No. 1 Jingjiao Line to the end to reach the rafting point.
It is still more enjoyable to play rafting in Kanas, the scenery on both sides of the strait is beautiful and exciting (everyone must wear a full set of waterproof clothing and shoes).
Walking along Kanas Lake is the Turuk petroglyphs, which have real traces left by nomads, but I think the point here is to see the panorama of Kanas from another perspective, and there are many fewer people than the fish viewing platform.
Fish viewing platform
Legend has it that there is a huge "water monster" in Kanas Lake, and it is true that someone has taken pictures of unknown creatures at the fish viewing platform.
The fish viewing platform needs to take the Jingjiao bus from the transfer center to get there, which is a drop in the distance compared to Kanas Lake.
Once you arrive at the fish viewing platform, climb more than 1,000 steps to see a panoramic view of Kanas Lake.
White Haba
There is not much difference in the landscape of Hemu Village, Kanas Village and Baihaba Village, and it is generally a hike along the forest plank road and the main road in the village along the drop-off point, and finally go to the check-in point of the first village in the northwest. The return bus is to take it in the first village in the northwest.
Baihaba is on the northwest border, which is very close to Kazakhstan and can also see the snow-capped mountains of Kazakhstan.
There is a Sino-Kazakh border canyon near Baihaba, and friends who want to go can ask for a chartered bus in the village.

Before going to Baihaba, you need to apply for a border permit, which can be handled by the Kanas Transfer Center, and then buy bus tickets and tickets to Baihaba.
The frequency of the bus is not very fixed, and if you have time, you can stay in the village of Baihaba for one night.
If you come in summer, it is not recommended to hike Sanwan, and the probability of seeing morning fog is very low. If you come in autumn, you can go to Sanwan's Fairy Bay, where the morning mist is a must.
Tips: There are many accommodation options in Kanas, such as Jia Dengyu, Kanas Village, and Baihaba Village, but it is better to have Kanas Village if it is convenient.

Keketuohai
The song "The Shepherd of Keketuohai" has made countless people know about Keketuohai. But there is no sea here, but a mysterious pure land.
Located in Altay's Fuyun County, Keketuohai is the source of the Irtysh River, which flows through the gorge and brings it to life.
It is also the "World Museum of Geology and Minerals", and it is worth visiting to see the world's largest mine pit. In addition, it is also a rare summer resort.
The Keketuo Sea Area is very large, and the main attractions are the Irtysh River & Grand Canyon, Hokesuli, No. 3 Mine Pit, etc.

Dushanzi Grand Canyon
