Although the small seal was created by Li Si in the Qin Dynasty and has a long history, after the two Han Dynasties, Wei, Jin to Sui and Tang, most of the people who studied calligraphy for thousands of years specialized in cursive, and seal science did not really flourish.

In the process of publishing Xu Shen's "Explanation of Words and Characters" by Xu Shen of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Li Yangbing greatly changed the seal method and interpretation of the original book, changed Li Si's style, inherited his jade tendon brushwork, but the lines became flattened into gentle flow, appearing graceful and colorful, and finally led the Renaissance of xiaohuan in the Tang Dynasty, and even Zhang Xu, the sage of cursive writing, was taught by Li Yangbing. At that time, the stele written by Yan Zhenqing must ask Li Yangbing to write an inscription, which shows the degree of popularity of his seal book.

The "Golden Pot" said: "Yang Bing you fine calligraphy, Hao Jun Mo Jin, at that time people called the pen tiger." Li Yangbing himself once sighed, perhaps the heavens are not yet ready to destroy the Li Si Seal Book, so I have learned the purpose of the seal.
