Sitting in front of the biosafety cabinet, Luo Qingmei and colleagues divided the kits into labels, and then added samples one by one, and each specimen had to be replaced by a tip, and the workflow was carried out meticulously and accurately.
With the machine, the amplification, the analysis... After 4 hours, the specimen results showed positive.
Without too many waves in her heart, Luo Qingmei immediately reviewed the specimen of this new crown pneumonia virus. Repeat the previous paragraph and wait for another 4 hours, and the result is still the same! Luo Qingmei immediately submitted to the superior unit for review again, until the first case of new crown pneumonia in the South Bank District was confirmed.
"As a disease control officer, when we put on our protective suits and walk into the lab, we understand what we might face next, even if we don't know the nature of the virus, we still go all out to do experiments to 'recognize' the virus, and that's our job." Disease control work is like a "door god" and a "sentinel", if there is a positive, you must propose measures to prevent it, and if it is negative, you must also tell everyone to reassure people.
