Abu has held important positions in Lhasa, Qamdo and other places, and has served as deputy secretary and director of the party group of the Lhasa Municipal Construction Bureau, vice mayor of Lhasa, secretary of the Qamdo Municipal Party Committee, member of the Political and Legal Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee, secretary of the Party Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region Department of Justice, and first political commissar of the Tibet Autonomous Region Prison Administration.

Shi Wenqing's disguise was eventually exposed, and his corruption was investigated and punished by the discipline inspection department. On March 28, 2021, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission published the news: Shi Wenqing, a former member of the party group and deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, was expelled from the party for serious violations of discipline and law. Shi Wenqing eventually paid a heavy price for his corrupt behavior.
