Once, the adults were all napping, and Luo Dongjin sat alone in the doorway in a daze.
Suddenly, the small vendor selling apricots at the door aroused Luo Dongjin's idea, and Luo Dong came in front of the vendor, and the small trader said to him:
Want to eat apricots?
Luo Dongjin said he wanted to eat. The small trader seized the opportunity and told the eastward march,
If you want to eat, go back and get the money to buy it, and your uncle is waiting for you here

After a while, after the mother woke up and looked for Dongjin, she saw him eating apricots alone, and her mother Lin Yueqin asked curiously:

Luo Dongjin said:
I took the money from the window sill in exchange.

It was after a battle, when Luo Dongjin was playing with the children, he accidentally saw the gas masks dropped by the Japanese army. Do you know that when you were just sent to your hometown, you couldn't walk at all, and the reason why you were able to live healthily to this day was entirely because your fellow villagers fed you a mouthful of sweet potatoes and pancakes. These fathers and fellow countrymen treat you more dearly than their own sons, their children are your brothers and sisters, how can you bully them like this.
After listening to his father's words, Luo Dongjin knew the meaning of family affection for the first time, and he cried and said to his father:
Father, I knew it was wrong, I would never do that to them again, and I would go and apologize to them in a moment.

Children of cadre families are prone to have a sense of superiority, and if this sense of superiority is not overcome in time, it is easy to develop a tendency to specialize and thus detach itself from the masses of the people. Therefore, Luo Ronghuan often told his children:
Don't have the idea of relying on your father and mother, but rely on your own ability to eat.
He also often told his children not to have a sense of superiority, but to mingle with the children of workers and peasants, to be closer to them, and to help them more.

On January 22, 1949, with the peaceful liberation of Peiping, Lin Yueqin moved from Tianjin to Beiping with her family. Because of Luo Ronghuan's work around the clock in the two major battles, his already seriously ill body became worse, and in mid-April 1949, Luo Ronghuan went to Tianjin to inspect the work of the troops going south, and he suddenly fainted while communicating with the relevant leaders of the Tianjin army. Once, when he and his sister came home from school, the two did not catch the bus, and in desperation, the two of them had to walk home, at that time, it was very late. Father Luo Ronghuan and mother Lin Yueqin still did not see the figure of the two of us, and my mother rushed to send someone to contact the school and learned that we had left the school long ago. The father comforted the mother: let her be at ease.
