Therefore, Lin Yueqin sent someone to urgently contact Luo Ronghuan's second son, Luo Dongjin, who was still studying in the Military Industry of Kazakhstan at the moment.

On January 22, 1949, with the peaceful liberation of Peiping, Lin Yueqin moved from Tianjin to Beiping with her family. Because of Luo Ronghuan's work around the clock in the two major battles, his already seriously ill body became worse, and in mid-April 1949, Luo Ronghuan went to Tianjin to inspect the work of the troops going south, and he suddenly fainted while communicating with the relevant leaders of the Tianjin army. The leader urgently sent him to the hospital for examination. The doctor said: After hearing the news, Lin Yueqin immediately led Luo Dongjin and Luo Nannan to Tianjin to reunite with him.
At that time, Luo Ronghuan's illness attracted the attention of Chairman Mao and other central leaders, and in order to cure his father's illness, Chairman Mao specially sent Dr. Huang Shuze to see his father. After the treatment, he and Uncle Ren Bishi were arranged by the central government to go to the Summer Palace for recuperation. After the founding ceremony, Luo Ronghuan led the family to live in a small courtyard in Nanchizi, after which Luo Dongjin and Luo Nanxia transferred to Yuying Primary School.
