The origin of Shui Po Liang Mountain
Liangshan's original name was Liangshan, and Emperor Wen of Han's son, King Xiao of Liang, hunted here and was buried in the mountains after his death, so he changed his name to Liangshan. Liangshan is adjacent to the Yellow River in the west, the canal in the east, and the Dongping Lake in the north, because the Yellow River flooded for a long time in ancient times, and the surrounding water was flooded, forming an eight-hundred-mile water berth, which was called Shuipo Liangshan during the Song Dynasty.
Because Chao Gai Song Jiang and others had gathered here to rebel against the tyranny of the imperial court, the story was written by Shi Nai'an into the "Water Margin", and with the wide dissemination of the stories in the "Water Margin" in the form of commentaries and novels, Shui Po Liangshan was famous throughout the country and even spread to all over the world.
After the Jin (Privet regime), the water gradually receded and the riverbed dried up, but the name of Shui po Liang Shan still spread. In fact, the mountain is not high, belonging to the Lunan Hills, about 200 meters above sea level.
Luo Ronghuan and Chen Guang had been stationed in this generation, and in July, everyone was preparing to celebrate the 8.1 Founding Day, when they suddenly received news that Japanese devils were moving to sweep up.
Uncle Akihito who went deep alone
On August 1, 1939, while rehearsing a show, Luo Ronghuan received a letter. A group of Japanese troops set off from Wenshang and rushed to the vicinity of Liangshan, about 400 people, carrying four field guns (I don't know if it is the kind of Italian cannon that Li Yunlong said!). ）。
It was later learned that this team belonged to the enemy's 33rd Division, and the leading commander was called Nagata Toshie Shosa, who was a member of the Japanese imperial family. He was once summoned by the Emperor of Japan, and belonged to Emperor Akihito's uncle according to his generations, a very proud guy. The mission was to escort the artillery Nojiri squad with 2 field guns and a batch of ammunition to a unit. It was not visible on the car, but it was believed by our reconnaissance personnel to have carried 4 field guns.
Luo Ronghuan and Chen Guang climbed the mountain to look at the distance and inspected the terrain on the spot, at this time, the "Qingsha Tent" (crops) had risen, and the main road from Wenshang to Liangshan was looming in the Qingsha Tent, which was very suitable for ambushing. There is a separate hill next to the road, less than 200 meters above sea level, there are several lime kilns at the foot of the mountain, there are some houses around the mountain, and it is a small village called Chemadian. It is expected that this Japanese army will arrive tomorrow, at this time, there are no Japanese strongholds and troops around Liangshan, and the enemy troops in Dongping, Yuncheng, Jining, and Yanggu, which are a little farther away, are not abnormal.
Luo Ronghuan and Chen Guang were sure that this Japanese army belonged to the lone army and went deep, and at this time, although our army only had four companies, it had a green yarn tent as a cover, and there was a Liangshan independent regiment stationed in the south 30 miles, which could be supported at any time. Therefore, it was decided to eat this Japanese Kou.
A day and night of fighting
Luo Ronghuan arranged for the people of Chemadian to be transferred to safety, and then everyone ambushed separately.
At noon the next day, the Japanese appeared in the field of vision, in front of the puppet army, followed by the Japanese army, divided into infantry, cavalry, artillery, the queue opened neatly, and a dust was set off on the avenue in the green yarn tent. Originally, Chen Guang arranged for the 2 companies to set up an ambush on the side of the road, but rikou took another road, and the fourth and eleventh companies that were ambushed in qianji village and outside the village took the lead in firing, and the second company rushed directly from behind to open fire, and attacked twice. The Japanese were caught off guard and panicked, the infantry blocked the artillery's way, the cavalry moved and scattered the infantry, and more than 40 people were killed in an instant.
Nagata Toshie quickly calmed down, commanded his troops to fire at Liangshan, bombarded for half an hour, found that there was no movement, thought it was a guerrilla attack, and continued to advance. As a result, just after reaching the southeast corner of Liangshan, I encountered the three battalions of the Liangshan Independent Regiment that had just arrived, and there was a fierce attack, and it was almost dark. Rikou retreated to the lime kiln at the foot of Dushan Mountain, and at night retreated to Chemadian, taking advantage of the terrain and firepower to hold on.
Luo Ronghuan sent people to tell the front-line troops that the enemy had no reinforcements, and moreover, we had arranged for a vigilance in all directions where the enemy might come, so that they could fight boldly with confidence and must destroy this enemy. In the middle of the night, he personally came to the front-line command post and told everyone that they should not be afraid of damaging the houses, destroying the post-war compensation, and running away from the Japanese devils, and they would continue to harm the common people!
The warriors crawled forward, throwing grenades and slowly attacking the village
At dawn the next day, the devils could not hold back their charge outwards, and the cavalry company of our division headquarters rushed to kill them, completely annihilating the remaining Japanese Kou.
The impact of the First World War
In this battle, more than 300 Japanese puppet troops were annihilated, 24 people were captured, two field guns, one Type 92 infantry gun, 15 light and heavy machine guns, more than 150 rifles, and more than 50 war horses were captured. The arrogant Japanese brigade commander Nagata Toshie Shōsa was ashamed and committed suicide by caesarean section.
After that, the Japanese army specially formulated a combat manual for Luo Ronghuan and Chen Guang. The headquarters of the Eighth Route Army sent a congratulatory telegram and reported it to Chiang Kai-shek, who issued a commendation and also sent 30,000 yuan as a reward and expenditure.
After the victory of the battle, nearby villagers came to visit the captured field artillery, and in half a month' time, more than 3,000 young and middle-aged people joined the army in the area of Dongping Lake, and they had to follow the Eighth Route Army to fight the devils.
This battle, which was included in the classic example of the 115th Division's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, created an example of our army's equal strength and inferior equipment, and the use of favorable terrain to completely annihilate the Japanese Kou. It greatly shocked the Japanese army and boosted the morale of our soldiers and civilians!
After the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Japan came to Liangshan many times to pay homage and repeatedly offered to invest in local construction, but asked for a memorial hall to be set up in Liangshan to commemorate the Japanese soldiers who died here (especially The Young Man who committed suicide by caesarean section, who is said to be the uncle of Emperor Akihito), which was rejected by the local people and the government.
