On the occasion of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, coinciding with the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, on the morning of August 1, 2021, the premiere of the major revolutionary and historical theme film "Young Ye Jianying" was held at the Guoerzhao Hotel in Beijing. The event was co-sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, the China Radio and Television Yunnan Network Company, and the Eighth Route Army Research Association, jointly organized by Yunnan National Film Studio, Guangdong Quankunde Investment Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Hongyi Culture and Media Development Company, and co-organized by the China Yan'an Spiritual Research Association, the Beijing Founding Fathers Cultural Promotion Association and other units.

The movie "Young Ye Jianying" takes Marshal Ye Jianying's ups and downs from youth to youth as the main line, telling the story of Ye Yiwei (Ye Jianying), a young student who pursued progress in Meixian County, Guangdong Province, under the influence of the members of the League, under the guidance of the goal of "nationality, civil rights, and people's livelihood", leading his classmates to resist the bully warlords, applying for the Yunnan Army Lecture Hall, gradually embarking on the revolutionary road, and finally following the Communist Party of China and forging revolutionary ideals and beliefs. The whole drama shows Marshal Ye Jianying's youth aspirations, life choices and feelings of home and country, recreates a real history, and also shows the revolutionary spirit of thousands of young people in that era who have the same heart for the country and the future of the nation like Ye Jianying, and constantly devote themselves to the cause of national liberation and struggle for it.
The film has been shortlisted for the National Defense Military Film Festival.
The film "Young Ye Jianying" is organized and guided by the Propaganda Department of the Yunnan Provincial CPC Committee, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Ningxia Autonomous Region Party Committee, the Propaganda Department of the Meizhou Municipal Party Committee of Guangdong Province, and other units, and is jointly produced by Yunnan National Film Studio, Guangdong Quankunde Investment Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Hongyi Culture and Media Development Company. The film is headed by the famous director Ye Xiangzhen as the general counsel. The screenwriter is led by Ding Jiaqi, a researcher of the Academy of Military Sciences of the people's liberation army of Chinese and the leader of the writing team of "The Biography of Ye Jianying", and directed by Zhang Jinbiao and Wang Chaomin. Young actor Li Huan plays Ye Jianying, Zhou Enlai is played by Liu Jin in the film, and Zhang Tianqi, Zhou Zhong, Xu Ruiyang, Chu Fengming, and Huang Wei play important roles in the play.
