At about 2 p.m. on July 7 this year, the Linli County Public Security Bureau received a report from the masses that Xu Mou, an 8-year-old boy from the General Mountain Community in Beacon Township, was beaten to death in a vegetable field. The Beacon Police Station and the Criminal Investigation Brigade immediately dispatched police, and sent technicians to conduct on-site investigations and autopsy. On the same day, after visiting and investigating, the police handling the case determined that the criminal suspect was Li Moujin, a 44-year-old man from the Li Family Group of the General Mountain Community of Beacon Township, and that this person had a history of mental illness and disappeared after committing the crime.
Because Li Moujin has no fixed residence, his ability to survive in the wild is extremely strong, and he often spends the night in abandoned houses, culverts and other places, and it is difficult to arrest. At about 8:00 a.m. this morning, after receiving reports from the masses, the police quickly attacked and arrested the criminal suspect Li Moujin. After review, Li Moujin truthfully confessed the criminal facts of killing Xu. According to his account, on the day of the crime, a group of children surrounded him to tease him, so he caught and killed one of the boys. Subsequently, Li Moujin quickly fled, hiding in the surrounding vacant houses, and living by picking corn and cucumbers in the vegetable fields of the masses.
