The story of "Sunshine Sister Tao" is not unfamiliar to many Chinese film fans, and the film has also been remade by many countries. This time shooting the Chinese version, Bao Bell revealed that it was the project that found him, and his first reaction was to refuse, "The original version has such a high score, so many people love it, I think I must be inferior to others, I refused." Bao Bell revealed that when they recruited actors, they probably received thousands of documents, screened to about 700 people and then interviewed, "When I interviewed, I brought the assistant director, screenwriter, producer, executive producer." We sat in the room and voted round after round. The one with the largest number of votes stays. When we screened 20 people, we started talking about big actors. For example, when we talked about Teacher Yin Tao, we looked at these 20 small actors, which one was the most compatible with Teacher Yin Tao in terms of image and temperament, and at that time we talked about Wang Yueting. ”
The remake will inevitably be compared with the original, and Bao Bell said that he was mentally prepared for this "comparison". "From the day I chose to shoot, the problem was there. And sadly, there doesn't seem to be a right answer to the question. You shoot exactly like the original. People will say you're not innovative, they'll say you can't. Then you change it, others will say, people shoot so well, what do you change it for? I will be scolded no matter what I feel. But from my own point of view. This is my second play directed. If it's better directed than my first play, I've improved my life's directing process, even if it's five or ten. In addition, I did such a difficult thing. Is there something harder to do after that? I think it's good, life has a lot of levels, there are a lot of sounds. I think that breaking through it one by one, to change it, is the interesting place in life. If my first film comes out with a score of 100 and the box office is good, how hard will it be for me next? Or if I become someone without any flaws, how boring will life be? ”
Regarding the switch between actors and directors, Bao Bell said that he still prefers to be an actor, "I chose to be a director because I hoped that one day when I was old, I could direct myself, and when I wanted to act, I could still shoot." If I'm too passive to just be an actor, but from my own point of view, without considering the audience, I don't think it matters which profession the director and the actor, what matters is that I want to be a happy person. ”
