After the fall of the Tang Dynasty, the world was divided, and the masses competed for hegemony, entering the period of five dynasties and ten kingdoms. The Five Dynasties were the Later Liang, Later Tang, Later Jin, Later Han, and Later Five Central Plains Dynasties, while the Ten Kingdoms were separatist regimes that coexisted with the Five Dynasties.
Post-Beam period
During the Later Liang Dynasty, Wang Jing, a native of Laizhou (present-day Laizhou, Shandong), was a farmer for generations. Wang Jingsheng was free-spirited, good at riding horses and archery, unwilling to work for a living, and became a robber with the hooligans in the township. Later Liang's general Wang Tanzhen guarded the slip platform, took Wang Jing under his command, and fought fiercely with Li Cunxun on the river.
Post-Tang Dynasty
Li Cunxun destroyed Hou Liang and established Hou Tang as Emperor Zhuangzong of Tang. Wang Jing came to submit to Li Cunxun, had military merits, and was eventually promoted to the position of Fengsheng Du Yuhou. At the end of the Later Tang Dynasty, Wang Jing followed Zhang Jingda to besiege the traitor Shi Jingyao, at which point the Khitan soldiers rescued Shi Jingyao. As a result, after the defeat of the Tang army, Wang Jing led his men to surrender to Shi Jingyao.

Later Jin Dynasty
Shi Jingyao destroyed the Later Tang and established the Later Jin Dynasty, which was for the Jin Dynasty. Wang Jing was appointed by the Later Jin court as the Assassin of Xiangzhou, and when Jiedu caused Fan Yanguang to rebel, most of the prefectures and counties were forced to obey Fan Yanguang, but Wang Jing sent troops to refuse. Shi Jingyao considered Wang Jing loyal and rewarded him. Later, the Khitan invaded the south, and Wang Jing and others defeated the Khitan at Qicheng, but in the end the Khitan still invaded Fenjing and destroyed the Later Jin.
Post-Han Dynasty
The Later Jin Dynasty made Liu Zhiyuan emperor and established the Later Han Dynasty. Wang Jing was annexed to the Later Han Dynasty and was given the title of Tongping Zhangshi (同平章事) (zai chancellor). At that time, there was a famine in Khitan countries, and many people in Youzhou became displaced people who came to Houhan to beg for food. Wang Jing appeased them and assigned them fields.
Post-Zhou period
Later Han Yi remained behind, and the Tianxiong army made Guo Wei rebel and establish Hou Zhou. Guo Wei was previously close to Wang Jing, calling himself Empress Dowager, and was given the title of Shizhong (侍中) (Zai Xiang) and later the Duke of Baoguo. After Emperor Chai Rong of Later Zhou ascended the throne, Wang Jing concurrently served as Zhongshu Ling (Zai Chancellor). Wang Jing once led an army to defeat Later Shu and retake the four prefectures of Qin, Feng, Cheng, and Jie. After Emperor Gong of Later Zhou ascended the throne, he made Wang Jing the Duke of Liangguo.
Northern Song Dynasty
Later Zhou chancellor Zhao Kuangyin added a yellow robe to the Chen Qiao Mutiny and established the Northern Song Dynasty. Wang Jingjia was made Taibao (太保) and was crowned king of Taiyuan Commandery (太原郡王). Later, Zhao Kuangyin appointed Wang Jing as the envoy of Fengxiang Jiedushi and deployed on the western edge. Wang Jing lived to be seventy-five years old and died, and was posthumously given the title of Taifu (太傅) and posthumously honored as the King of Qi.
Wang Jing lived for seventy-five years and lived through six dynasties: Later Liang, Later Tang, Later Jin, Later Han, Later Zhou, and Northern Song. This also reflects the frequent change of dynasties and the constant wars, which were the themes of that era.
Married to a prostitute
Originally, after Wang Jing betrayed Tang and submitted to Later Jin, his wife who remained in Later Tang was killed by Zhu Lian. Shi Jingyao treated Wang Jing kindly and gave him a lot of rewards, and once asked Wang Jing what rewards he wanted. Wang Jing replied, "Since the subject submitted to His Majesty, the grace he has received has been very thick, and he really has nothing he wants. ”
Shi Jingyao insisted on asking Wang Jing what reward he wanted, and Wang Jing knelt down and prostrated his head and said: "When the minister was a pawn before, he used to move things with the captain, and many times passed through the official prostitute Hou Xiaoshi's house, and he admired her very much in his heart. Now that the minister's wife was killed, it was satisfying to be able to get Hou Xiaoshi as his wife. Shi Jingyao laughed and gave Hou Xiaoshi to Wang Jing.
Wang Jing was very fond of Hou Xiaoshi, and later Hou Xiaoshi was given the title of Lady of Chu. Hou Xiaoshi once stole a few hundred taels of gold from Wang Jing and secretly gave it to his old lover. After Wang Jing knew, he did not blame his wife and forgave her.
At the beginning, Jingzhi Ben Jinye, his wife sat down, and the second son escaped. Jin Zu rewarded him with a generous reward, tasted what Jing wanted, and said: "The subject returns to the country, receives grace and long- Gu asked, Jing Jiyi said again: "The subject used to be a pawn, tasted the beard bed from the captain's in and out, and repeatedly passed the official prostitute Hou Xiaoshi's house, and he admired it very much." Now that his wife was cursed, it was enough for Xiao Shi to be his wife. Jin zu laughed, that is, he gave the scenery to the little master. Jing was very fond of Hermitage, and later became the Lady of Chu. Hou shi tasted the theft of Jing Jin hundreds of taels, privately left the old people, Jing Zhi but not responsible. - "Song Shi Liechuan IX"
After Wang Jing became rich and noble, he had always been obsessed with the prostitute he once admired, not to be a high-ranking official Houlu, but as long as he married her, it was an obsession! My wife stole money to raise a lover, but Wang Jing chose to forgive her, which really made me and other honest people ashamed of themselves!
