Summer and wind | homemade black sesame tofu

author:Plantcept vegetable food cooking righteousness

I used to think that I couldn't do a lot of things at home, and I had to buy them in the supermarket. But since learning to make almond milk at home, I've been out of control and have been trying to make other things. After all, I am more at ease when I do it at home without additives, and I feel super satisfied when I see the finished product.

What I'm going to write today is a simple version of tofu that you can make at home, but it's not made of soybeans, but chickpea. Yes, you can make tofu with just one ingredient, magic, right?

ingredient

Chickpeas 200 g

Black sesame powder 3 tablespoons

Water 500ml

seasoning

Steamed fish soy sauce to taste

Sesame oil to taste

A small amount of onion

Ginger in small amounts

method

1. Place the chickpeas in water and soak overnight.

2. Pour out the water for the chickpeas, put the chickpeas in a blender, pour 500ml of water and stir for 2-3 minutes until the chickpeas are grated and the mixture is like milk.

3. Prepare a pot and filter bag (or any bag of separators), separate the okara and filter the milk into the pan. Milk the remaining milk from the filter bag into the pan by hand. Then add the black sesame powder to the milked chickpea milk.

4. Cook chickpea milk over medium heat. Stir constantly as you cook, and after a few minutes you will notice that the milk will gradually become mushy. Reduce heat and stir until the whole pot is sesame paste. Pour the finished sesame paste into an empty container.

I use a box like a lunch box, you can put it in a suitable container or mold according to the shape you want, the smaller and shallower the container, the faster the sesame paste into black sesame tofu.

5. After two hours, the paste will harden into a tofu shape, at which point it can be turned upside down and turned into a dish.

When I first made it, I thought it was really amazing, because with the addition of black sesame powder, the tofu that came out looked a bit like a brick, but don't worry, just poke it with a spoon and you will find that the right tofu!

6. Cut the tofu to the size you want, grind some ginger and chop some green onions to garnish on top of the tofu, and finally drizzle a little sesame oil and soy sauce to finish!

In one mouth, the mouth is full of the aroma of black sesame seeds. I like to use steamed fish soy sauce because it is a little sweet, it is very compatible with tofu, and the whole thing will be a big plus with the slight spicy of the ginger paste!

Although the tofu made is not as slippery as the one bought outside, it is a hundred reassuring additive-free pure tofu, and I hope you will like it too
