The prostate gland is perhaps one of the "cold-afraid" organs of men. The autumn and winter communication weather suddenly turned cold, and a series of prostate symptoms such as pelvic pain and difficulty urinating followed.

Guo Jun, chief physician of the Department of Andrology of Xiyuan Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, said that after the human body is cold, muscles and blood vessels will tighten, and poor blood circulation of the prostate will lead to pain and inflammation. A survey in Finland, Sweden and other countries shows that the incidence of prostate disease in winter is higher than in summer, which is the result of frequent cold.

Of course, prostate diseases occur in different forms at different ages. Prostatitis is most common in the middle and young age, but in old age, the incidence of prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer increases. After the development of prostatic hyperplasia in middle-aged and elderly men, they may squeeze the urethra and cause dysuria, urinary retention, and bifurcation of urine. When you get cold, you can't urinate, which becomes the most embarrassing annoyance for male friends.

Zhang Jiwei, attending physician of the Department of Andrology of Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, analyzed that from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, cold weather is cold and evil. Cold evil will deplete the body's yang qi, it can invade from the muscle surface, may also hurt Wei Yang, causing a series of symptoms such as colds and diarrhea. The prostate is negative, and the superposition with cold and yin causes poor flow of qi and blood, and symptoms such as abdominal discomfort and pelvic pain may occur. After the yang qi is damaged, the urge to urinate decreases, that is, the bladder function decreases, resulting in poor urination.

Therefore, men should pay attention to the warmth of the lower body in winter, let the prostate be comfortable for winter, and do not let the "living people be choked to death by urine".
