Chen Si
Chen Si, a docent of Xiangshan Park, won the bronze medal in the "9th Beijing Tour Guide Skills Improvement Competition and National Tour Guide Competition Selection Competition". Chen Si is a post-90s, working short time, once a kindergarten teacher, only began to work as a docent in 2017. As a recruit of the docent team, the first time you participate in the competition, you will win a good result, which can not help but be impressive!
Chen Si explained
Beijing Tourism Network: Please explain a story about Xiangshan Biyun Temple to the majority of netizens.
Chen Si, docent of Xiangshan Park: Biyun Temple in Xiangshan Park was founded in 1331 in the Yuan Dynasty and has a history of 688 years. Biyun Temple is built on the mountain from the west to the east, with a total of six courtyards. In the thirteenth year of the Qianlong Dynasty, in 1748, the Qianlong Emperor ordered the expansion of the Biyun Temple, and built five hundred Arhat Halls, Water Spring Temple, and King Kong Throne Pagoda on the north and south sides. Biyun Temple has also become an imperial temple, and traces left by the Qianlong Emperor can be seen everywhere in the temple. For example, the plaque of Biyun Temple, the couplet in the Luohan Hall, and the plaque of the Daxiong Treasure Hall "Capable Bookkeeping" are all the imperial pens of the Qianlong Emperor.
King Kong Tower
The fifth courtyard of Biyun Temple, the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, was originally named "Puming Miaojue Hall". On March 12, 1925, Mr. Zhongshan died of illness in Beijing at the age of 59, according to Mr. Zhongshan's last wishes, the body should be buried in Nanjing Purple Mountain, however, the mausoleum project is huge, can not be completed in a short period of time, so the Kuomintang Funeral Committee decided to temporarily store Mr. Zhongshan's body in Xiangshan Biyun Temple. Four years later, the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing was completed. Before the soul was moved, it was in this hall that the coffin replacement ceremony for Mr. Nakayama was held, and a three-day public sacrifice was held here, after which it was named the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. The plaque above the lintel was handwritten by Mrs. Soong Ching Ling. In the middle of the hall is a white jade seated statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, which is 2.9 meters high, showing mr. Zhongshan's heroic posture when he overthrew the Qing government. Behind the statue is a tall carved lacquered red screen, and the pattern on the screen is seven or eight 56 flowers, representing 56 ethnic groups in the same boat, hand in hand.
From the above explanation, it can be seen that Biyun Temple has a long history and strong cultural heritage, and all tourists are welcome to visit Biyun Temple.
Beijing Travel Network: Before you became a docent, you were a kindergarten teacher, and you were a successful preschool teacher, "in the eyes of children, you know everything, you can do anything." After switching careers to become a docent, did my previous work experience help?
Chen Si was interviewed
Xiangshan Park docent Chen Si: Kindergarten teachers and docents are both professions that require strong comprehensive ability, and the new profession for me is also a new challenge. Moreover, Xiangshan Park is a royal mountain forest park, the working environment is very beautiful, and there is a deep cultural heritage. As a young person, I especially want to learn about these cultures. Moreover, the previous work of the kindergarten teacher has also exercised my patience and language expression ability, and I myself have more affinity, which are also the basic conditions necessary for being a docent. For example, for tourists of different ages who come to visit Biyun Temple, for older tourists, I will call "Uncle and Aunt, Hello", and in the process of explanation, they will be reminded more to pay attention to the steps under their feet and pay attention to the safety of the visit; if students come to Biyun Temple to visit, they will say "Children are good, students are good", and the content of the explanation will be changed accordingly.
Beijing Tourism Network: After working as a docent, what difficulties have you experienced in the face of "everything must be learned from scratch"? And how to overcome it?
Chen Si, docent of Xiangshan Park: After becoming a docent, I think the biggest difficulty is the lack of historical knowledge. When I first started working as a docent, I could only memorize the content of the explanatory words step by step, and then tell the tourists. However, in addition to the content of the explanatory words, tourists often ask other questions. I was impressed that at an exhibition about Mr. Zhongshan, some visitors found that the wedding date of Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching Ling was October 26, 1915, but we explained that the two were married on October 25. At that time, tourists asked this question, and I couldn't answer it at all. I feel ashamed to be asked by tourists like this.
The solution is that I write down these problems, check the materials after work, or ask the seniors in the class for advice, and usually read more history books to replenish my knowledge reserves little by little. Later, when tourists ask me such questions, I will be able to answer them very well.
Chen Si was at the scene of the competition
Chen Si won the award
Beijing Tourism Network: From a fledgling novice to winning an award for the first time in the competition, how did you go from fear to bravery to the arena? What are the twists and turns? And how is it carefully prepared? What is the biggest gain after winning the award?
Chen Si, docent of Xiangshan Park: As a newcomer docent, I was particularly nervous and less confident before the game. However, the leaders and colleagues of our park have been encouraging me, and carefully helped and guided me before the game, so that I can treat the game with a normal heart, which is a valuable learning opportunity to see the shining points of excellent docents and bring back good experiences. That way I let go of the tension. I participated in this competition with a learning mindset.
The twist is that the preparation time before the game is relatively short, and this is a tour guide competition, I am a hall docent, so the knowledge of the tour guide is also relatively lacking. It is also an urgent task to supplement a large amount of knowledge in a short period of time.
To this end, during the preparation period, I just talked more and practiced more. Practice in front of the mirror at home, pull colleagues to practice in the unit, please help me find problems, improve over and over again. In terms of knowledge, the park trained us, and I read a lot of materials to expand the explanatory words, and also learned the business knowledge of tour guides, and did my best to make myself play well in the competition.
As a newcomer, this competition is a particularly valuable experience, but also learned a lot of knowledge that I have not been exposed to before, and met new friends, which I think are very big gains.
Zheng Yue, captain of the second team of Xiangshan Park Service, was interviewed
Zheng Yue, captain of the second team of Xiangshan Park Service: On the eve of the competition, the park conducted systematic training for Comrade Chen Si, convened the park's elite soldiers to guide Chen Si to make the participating ppt, and asked experts to repeatedly sort out and revise the fixed-point explanation manuscript of Ding Chen Si.
Yang Shasha, the second class leader of the Xiangshan Park Service Second Team Hall, was interviewed
Yang Shasha, the second class leader of the Xiangshan Park Service Second Team Hall: Chen Si in this competition, in addition to strengthening his own practice, the park leaders provided training help, and colleagues around him also provided a lot of help. For example, in order to make Chen Si perform better in this competition, colleagues used their off-the-job time to help Chen Si perform a variety of exercises, so that Chen Si could show for tourists at different levels, so that he could perform better when he played on the spot.
Beijing Travel Network: What are your expectations for your future?
Chen Si, docent of Xiangshan Park: In the future, I hope to become an excellent docent who can stand alone through my own efforts. Tell the story of Xiangshan and the history of Biyun Temple, so that every tourist can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery through my explanation, but also gain different knowledge.
Beijing Tourism Network: Please say a word of blessing to Beijing Cultural Tourism, Beijing Tourism Network, and Chinese and foreign tourists.
Chen Si, docent of Xiangshan Park: I wish Beijing Cultural Tourism to create a better and more comprehensive image of charming Beijing by fully tapping Beijing's tourism resources.
I wish that Beijing Tourism Network can integrate Chinese culture, regional culture and fashion culture to show the world a beautiful Beijing.
I wish that Chinese and foreign tourists can harvest different experiences and different surprises in every trip. (Text/Photo by Zhang Xiaofang)
