Control of the greenhouse green asparagus underground pest slug

The genus is a genus of orthoptera, Apatidae. It is commonly known as lara maggot and earth dog. Almost all over the country.

Pest characteristics: The slug is an omnivorous pest. Adults and nymphs move in the soil, and the harm to the asparagus seedbed is particularly serious, and tunnels are dug everywhere in the seedbed, seeds are eaten, and young stems and roots are bitten off. After the seedlings are colonized, due to the damage of the slugs, they often cause a lack of seedlings and ridges. It also often bites at the young shoots and roots of the harvest, which seriously affects the yield and quality of asparagus. In the greenhouse, due to the high temperature, the early activity of the caddisflies, coupled with the concentration of seedlings, the damage is more severe.

Occurrence law: There are two main kinds of caddisflies in China, namely the North China caddisflies and the African caddisflies. Both species of slugs overwinter deep in the soil as adults or nymphs. From early May to mid-June, the most active period for the moths is also the first peak of pests, from late June to late August, the weather is hot and turns to underground activities, and June and July is the peak period for spawning. In September, the temperature dropped, rising to the surface again, forming a second peak of harm, and after mid-October, it gradually burrowed into the deep soil to overwinter. The two peak pests of the moth (May-June and September-October) are the growing season for asparagus seedlings and seedlings, so they are highly vulnerable. The moths are most active at night from 9 to 11 o'clock at night, especially in the high temperature, humidity and sweltering night. In early spring or late autumn, due to the cool climate, it is only active in the topsoil layer, not above the ground, and often dives to the deep soil layer at noon in the heat. It has phototropism and has a strong tendency to sweet substances and organic fertilizers. Adults and nymphs prefer moist and soft loam soil and sandy loam soil, and the water content of 20 cm topsoil layer is more than 20%, and the activity is weakened when less than 15%.

Prevention and control methods:

(1) According to the characteristics of the night excavation activities of the scorpion and the strong tendency of sweet substances, the method of sprinkling poisonous bait can be used to prevent and control: first the bait (grain, wheat bran, bean cake, cottonseed cake, etc.) is fried, and then mixed with 90% of the 30 times the liquid of the enemy insects, add water in an appropriate amount, mix the tide to a degree, apply 1.5 - 2.5 kg per acre, and spread the best effect in the evening without wind and swelter.

(2) When raising seedlings, combined with seedbed finishing, use 3% octyl thiophos granules 1 kg per mu, mix 3 kg of fine sand and sprinkle in the seedbed.

(3) Before colonization, 3.6% tee granules 2.0 - 2.5 kg per acre are sprinkled in the colonization ditch.

(4) During the growth of seedlings or the harvesting of bamboo shoots, if it is found that the slugs are infested, it can be controlled by 20% good winter emulsion 1500-2000 times liquid irrigation, 90% enemy insects 800-1000 times liquid ridge spraying.
