"Survivor's Song" is based on the eight-time Best Picture Award winner of the Academy Award, including the film "Flying Over the Madhouse", hollywood's top producer Mike Medelwer's parents' experience in Shanghai during World War II, the Chinese edition was published by Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House in 2019 and received a warm response, the 2020 English version was translated by Ge Haowen, chief Sinologist of the United States, and first published by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Publishing House at the Shanghai Book Fair, known as the Shanghai version of "Gone with the Wind".
