Why live? What is the reason for it? Reading "Alive" has a feeling

　　I have the privilege of reading "Alive" written by Yu Hua, but I am not precipitated enough, nor do I understand the meaning of its life, so I have left a clumsy pen here.

　　"Alive" mainly tells the tragic life experience of a landlord young master Fugui in the old Chinese society. The protagonist, Fugui, has fallen from a young master who eats, drinks and gambles to a commoner who goes down to the fields to cultivate the land for subsistence.

　　However, the world did not go according to people's wishes, and he was pulled by the Kuomintang troops to become a soldier, and experienced nine deaths on the battlefield. He had seen the flesh-and-blood corpse, and he had seen the living man who could not sleep for an instant. He wants to live, he wants to go home, and his wife and children are his belief in living.

　　When he was lucky enough to return home, his daughter became mute due to high fever and had no money to treat the disease, his mother had long since died of illness, and the family was poor. Fortunately, Fugui is in good health and hard-working.

　　When the family's situation gradually improved, Fugui's son died unexpectedly due to excessive blood donation. The wheel of fate began to turn, and the shadow of doom followed in his footsteps, brutally taking the life of everyone associated with him, with no sympathy. His wife Jiazhen fell ill and died, her daughter Fengxia died of excessive blood loss after childbirth, her son-in-law Erxi was crushed to death by a scooter while working, and her grandson choked to death by eating beans.

　　His rough, dark hands covered with calluses buried all his loved ones and tears, and he ended up alone with the cow. He cried in a laughing way, living in the company of death.

　　Perhaps reading this novel will feel absurd, after all, in peacetime, the probability of relatives leaving the world one after another is very small.

　　The author uses this absurd story to express to us what "living to death" means. What is "alive".

　　Sometimes I can't help but think deeply, the protagonist Fugui in "Alive" has experienced the death of his relatives one by one, and finally he is the only one living in the world. So what does Fugui live for?

　　Yu Hua wrote in the preface to "Alive": "Man lives for the sake of being alive itself, not for anything other than being alive. ”

　　To be "alive" is to endure, to endure the responsibilities that life has entrusted us, to endure the happiness and suffering, boredom and mediocrity that reality gives us.

　　Fugui survived, and after so many unimaginable sufferings, he learned to endure, endure the hardships of life, and he just lived very simply to live.

　　I think that to live is simply to live, for the purpose of survival.

　　However, if we talk about the meaning of living, I think there may be countless answers to this question, and there may be no answers. Everyone lives a different meaning.

　　Li Bai's "I am born to be useful" and the sentence "Everyone is born in the world must have its own unique uses". We also live to realize the value of our lives.

　　Sometimes parents will say to their children, "I try to earn money for you." "I want to live, but also a responsibility, but also an obligation.

　　The meaning of living should be given and pursued by ourselves.
