In July 1939, Grandpa was born in Liuying Village, Puning, Guangdong Province, Grandpa's grandfather was a teacher in the village, our family was a cultural person in the village, Grandpa got a good education from an early age, excellent reading results, high school was guaranteed to the military academy, Xidian University to study chemistry. When Grandpa graduated, it was when China launched its nuclear test program and was also conscripted to the Malan nuclear test base in Xinjiang.

In order not to affect the people's lives and protect secrets, they established a research institute at the foot of the Red Mountain, which has no one within three hundred kilometers. The country's nuclear tests were kept absolutely secret, so Grandpa and Grandma went to the Gobi Desert together. The wind roared, and the red sand rolled. According to my grandfather, the Gobi Desert was short of water resources, and some of the water at that time was not enough to drink, and the dishes had to be rubbed with sand. For the sake of the party, for the sake of the country, in the wind and sand, the rice containing sand is swallowed like this. During the day, the sand is golden, the sun is fiery red, and the sun is scorching; at night, the white desert is surrounded by cold winds and cold bones. The temperature difference between day and night is extremely large, and the soldiers have made great contributions to China's nuclear weapons research and development under the harsh conditions of arduous scientific research during the day and cold and sleepless at night.

Grandpa was in charge of the nuclear test camera mission and took many important and precious photos.

My grandfather's team photographed the mushroom cloud of China's first atomic bomb. Grandpa described that when everyone heard the explosion, no one dared to cheer, and everyone stuck to their posts and concentrated on the observation point to observe. Wait until the mushroom cloud rises, report a dozen, and say "Exploded, succeeded!" Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, cheered, jumped and shouted, and the ground shook, as if to celebrate the great progress of China's nuclear weapons.

The second is a mushroom condensation cloud of China's first hydrogen bomb.

Then there's the brightest star in Grandpa's album, the contrast between the sun and the hydrogen bomb fireball. The fiery hydrogen bomb fireball is like a rising new China, full of vitality, vitality, hope and strength. This light that illuminates the land of China will also illuminate the world.

Grandpa stayed in Xinjiang for 20 years. During this period, he and his comrades-in-arms completed the country's major strategic tasks.

Nuclear weapons have given China the confidence to speak, and it is the premise for China to stand up straight and speak to the world. Nuclear weapons have been unveiled in front of the world, but the warriors have been unknown for more than two decades. Although the nuclear test has ended and the world is developing towards peace, the warriors are not afraid of hardship, and the spirit of struggle that is unknown and conscientious will be immortalized and will be inherited and developed by us. I would like to say to all the comrades-in-arms of Grandpa who have made outstanding contributions to China's nuclear tests, "Thank you, and pay high respect to you!" ”
