One of the repertoire performances of the China Academy of Performing Arts to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the youth version of Peking Opera "Sister Jiang", which was performed by the Zhang Huoding Peking Opera Chengpai Inheritance Center of the China Academy of Performing Arts and the Three Troupes of the National Peking Opera House, took the stage of Poly Theater on June 27. Zhang Huoding's five disciples Zhai Qian, Ma Fengfeng, Zheng Xuelian, Yin Chanjuan, and Pan Yu jointly played Sister Jiang, and the ups and downs of the plot and the soft and tear-jerking singing voice won several applause and applause from the audience.

In 2001, Zhang Huoding put his long-standing complex, "Sister Jiang", on the Stage of Peking Opera with the chengpai singing voice. The play was personally written and adapted by Mr. Yan Su, the original author of the opera of the same name, and Wan Ruixing served as the vocal design for a full twenty years. In the past 20 years, this play has been improving in continuous performance practice, and singing segments such as "Red Mezan", "Embroidered Red Flag", and "Don't Say Goodbye with Crying" have been widely sung among fans. Twenty years later, Peking Opera "Sister Jiang" has become a rare new genre classic. But in fact, at the beginning of the creation, many people in the industry were not very optimistic about the creation of Cheng Pai's "Sister Jiang", and Zhang Huoding also began to create with the heart of daring to fail.
This time, Zhang Huoding's disciples jointly presented this generous volunteer who sacrificed his life and forgot his death, paying tribute to the Zhengrong years and also commemorating the composer Wan Ruixing. Xu Chao, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Academy of Performing Arts and director of the Zhang Huoding Chengpai Art Heritage Center, said: "This performance specially invited the cooperation of the three troupes of the National Peking Opera House, and also received the help of Du Zhenjie, a famous old student of the Beijing Opera House. We hope that through cooperation with national theater troupes and outstanding performers, we can provide a high-level platform for students and be more conducive to their professional growth, and the five actors attach great importance to and cherish the opportunity of this performance, and also put a lot of effort into understanding the drama and role. Before the performance, Zhang Huoding personally sorted out the costumes for the disciples in the dressing room, and instructed him to sing and perform the details, even more nervous than his own performance.
Talking about the role of Sister Jiang, Zhai Qian from Dalian Peking Theater said: "Sister Jiang is not only a resolute heroic image, but also has a gentle side. While shaping her resolute image, we must also pay attention to her femininity, so that the character of Sister Jiang can be presented in front of the audience with flesh and blood. At the time of her death, New China had been established, and when she learned the news, she was in prison, regretting that she did not see this scene with her own eyes. But in the face of sacrifice, she did not have the slightest fear, because she was willing to dedicate her life to the party to the motherland. This spirit deserves our commemoration, learning and respect. ”
Ma Fengfeng from Qingdao Peking Opera House is playing Sister Jiang for the first time, "Many of Sister Jiang's great sorrows and mournings are hidden in my heart, and I personally feel that Cheng Pai is very suitable for playing such a character with inner strength." Zheng Xuelian, a national second-level actor at the Beijing Opera House in Hubei Province, believes that "the biggest challenge in starring in "Sister Jiang" is that the hand-eye-body method of the traditional drama has to be adjusted after entering the modern drama, and there are many powerful details that need to be shown. Therefore, under the teaching of Zhang Huoding, she learned and realized how to show Sister Jiang's heroism on the stage.
Yin Chanjuan, a young actress from the Tianjin Youth Peking Opera Troupe, said: "Sister Jiang's characters in each scene feel different, and modern dramas cannot be shown with the help of technical skills such as water sleeves like traditional plays, but more test of the control of recitation, performance and stage rhythm, which requires more practice." ”
Pan Yu, from the Peking Opera Troupe of Gansu Province, introduced that after they dressed up the play, they would carefully watch the performances of other actors in the side curtain while figuring out the roles, and the characters of the previous scenes would bring them into their own performance state, and immersing themselves could make the play more smooth.
After the performance, there was a rare scene, five "Sister Jiang" jointly closed the curtain, Zhang Huoding, who has been on the side curtain, also took a photo with five students, and the role of "Sister Jiang" played by the five people together also reflects the results of the inheritance of the Chinese Opera Academy and the exploration of talent training mode. It is reported that the Zhang Huoding Peking Opera Cheng Pai Inheritance Center has trained more than ten young actors of the Cheng Sect in the past five years, and after a year of intensive study, they have returned to their respective theater groups for performance practice, and now they have become the main actors of their respective theater groups. In the future, the inheritance center will also take the performance team to the students' college group, and support them to complete more repertoire and performances.
