Dinner of Destiny: Koch, how much can you sacrifice for the sake of those you want to protect?
There were only four main participants in the dinner: brother Paul and wife Claire, brother Saiji and wife Barbie. On the other hand, the two perpetrators did not pay much attention to the matter, and the excuse was simply that they did not know that the thing would explode.
What does power bring to this society? When the power class faces the bottom line of law and society, how will those who touch these things respond? "Dinner of Destiny" uses a realistic version of "So-and-So Incident" to try to discuss the relationship between power and people with us, giving us a chance to explore the world.
At the beginning of the book, we enter a luxurious restaurant, as an unemployed "I", for these pretentious dishes, there is a joke of the citizen class: dozens of european dishes, do not know the so-called diet and high prices but invisible forced consumption of aperitifs, clinging to the powerful waiters ... And the family, which has a brother who has the first favorable contender for the prime minister's seat, has changed a lot – the guests of the restaurant who look at the other, the middle-class lifestyle, the luxury holidays in France... However, these are not all, a fate-changing thing has quietly happened before this, this "Last Supper", became a special moment between the two families.
This is a Dutch version of the story of "My Dad is Li Gang", but in a sense, this story is not what it seems. The case has already happened, but the fate of the decision lies in the parents and in the two children themselves. Four parents, four answers, each of which may not be quite right for the reader, but they do have love for their children, just a deviation from the way they love. What we learn in this story is also a position to break away from the siege, to look at this dark event from God's point of view, and we will find the light. The author praises Woody Allen, the style is very Quentin Valentino, obviously, is also a way to explore how to understand, to think about the events caused by those powers.

I'd love to discuss the side characters of this story. As the conspirator, the profiteer, and later a possible victim of this incident, Bo, a black African child adopted by a white family at the upper class, experienced the expectation of being treated the same as most people, being bullied by the blood relatives of the adopted family, betraying the family, exposing the crime, extorting the original "family"... What was his mood like? Why can't an adopted child fit in? Why was he the first to be abandoned in the end? After the cover-up, these are all worth thinking about.
"Dinner of Destiny" is a book with a lot of connotations, a work with deep connotations, but he is not a difficult type of reading, there are no obscure words, some are just the words of a complex father, husband, brother, and man's thoughts.
