1 .“ The road is difficult to walk": the teenager is still ignorant
"I" followed my uncle out the door.
It rained non-stop that day, and the road was full of mud pits, which was a bit difficult for "me" who was still a child. Carrying a small wooden barrel, he staggered behind his uncle. The uncle put on the fishing net in a smock, looked back at "me" and suddenly sighed: "The road is difficult to walk", and continued to take care of himself.
But the excitement of fishing made "me" not care too much about the difficulty of walking, or perhaps "I" did not understand the meaning of the "road" in my uncle's words.
2 .“ Can catch": Uncle's determined gaze
It rained all the way down. In the empty field, only the two of us walked and stood in the rain. We could only see the rain. The uncle looked up at the sky from under the bucket.
"The sky is like a teapot lid, tightly enclosed in darkness." Only the rain fell without gaps.
We walked the transition bridge and crossed the forest. But wherever there was running water, the uncle stood still and stared closely at the rolling whirlpool. Finally, we both stood intently by the river, looking out at the rushing whirlpool.
"I" stared intently because I felt that there must be a big fish rushing down from upstream under this whirlpool. What the hell is my uncle looking at? From the dark and heavy sky to the whirlpool under the feet, is there something in the eyes of adults that children can't see?
The uncle was still just staring at the whirlpool at his feet, his wrists immersed in the water and motionless. The gaze was firm, as on the previous occasions, with only a few words muttered in his mouth: "Can catch."
What can the uncle catch? Isn't there a net for fishing?
3. Snake: Rival Fate
As the night grew thicker and the whirlpool swirled rapidly from underwater to the surface, a dark wave of water passed sharply in front of him. Uncle suddenly moved, in an instant, the sound of rain and water noisy noise ...
But the thing "solemnly depicted the curves of a rope and fell to the opposite embankment", and raised a sickle head, staring at the two of us...
In the dead silence of the six-eyed air, only three words were heard echoing in the rain – "Walk and see" (and the version translates as "remember")! Is it the voice of an opponent or the voice of an uncle. The uncle himself could not tell.
Obviously, this was not the first duel between Uncle and the Snake, nor would it be the last.
The snake is like the fate that has always fought against us, we don't want to give in, and it won't give up easily. The process of finding the snake is arduous, and the uncle has the conviction of victory in finding the snake duel of destiny. However, it was still a draw, and the phrase "walk and see" showed the stubbornness of life, and the duel would continue endlessly.
But those three words also seem to tell "me" to hear. Because soon "I" will also become the protagonist of this duel with fate.
