The scene of the propaganda activity

First of all, Chen Yuguang, director of the Association of Old Science and Technology, told the children the story of Qiu Shaoyun, a martyr in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Qiu Shaoyun was lurking in front of the 391 Heights of the Five Holy Mountains in North Korea, and was ignited by the enemy's ammunition on the camouflage grass on his body, in order to cover the hidden comrades-in-arms and ensure the victory of the battle, Qiu Shaoyun insisted on relying on his strong revolutionary will, burning himself in flames and not moving at all, until he was heroically sacrificed. Chairman Chen stressed to the young people that Qiu Shaoyun's heroic and tenacious spirit, loyalty to the party and the country, and strict discipline are worth learning from the young people.

Subsequently, the old principal Sun Weiming told the children the story of the martyr Chen Shuxiang and seven hundred small soldiers in a heavy tone. In the Battle of the Xiang River in 1934, the troops led by Chen Shuxiang made heavy sacrifices, and after completing the arduous task of covering the main force of the Red Army and the organs of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Military Commission to cross the Xiang River, he was wounded and captured. On the way to Changsha escorted by the enemy to Changsha, Chen Shuxiang took advantage of the enemy's lack of preparation, endured severe pain, took out his intestines from the wound and strangled it vigorously, and sacrificed heroically at the age of 29. The story of seven hundred small soldiers also took place during the Long March, when the large army had crossed the meadow, but there was still a battalion of troops who had not yet arrived, and General Wang Ping, who was in charge of leading this unit, returned to the Banyou River with the guards to look for it, and saw hundreds of small Red Army soldiers sleeping back to back in the distance. Furious, he pushed the little soldiers forward, who knew that pushing one by one, more than 700 small soldiers of the Red Army could no longer withstand physical exhaustion, hunger and cold, and all died in their sleep. The stories of the martyrs of the Long March greatly touched the children, and Principal Sun told the children that today's beautiful life is what these martyrs exchanged their lives for, and young people should cherish the hard-won good life, love the country and the party, study hard, and serve the motherland.
