In 1924, Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin both went to the United States to study architecture. In 1928, Liang Lin and his wife, who returned to China after completing their studies, modeled on the teaching mode of the Architecture Department of the University of Pennsylvania, their alma mater, and set up the architecture department curriculum of Northeastern University, breaking the current situation that China's ancient architectural civilization with a high degree of construction has not produced a corresponding scientific knowledge system for a long time.

The so-called notebook books have more content than ordinary notebooks, are easier than books, and have both writing and reading functions.
In 2013, in order to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Mr. Liang Sicheng's death, China Youth Publishing House published the book "Liang", which shows us Liang Sicheng's real and passionate architectural life from four parts, including Liang Sicheng's family photo album and Liang Sicheng's articles.

In the 1930s, Liang Sicheng, Lin Huiyin and members of the Construction Society, with their own luggage and carrying measuring instruments, traveled to more than 200 counties in 15 provinces, surveyed and mapped 2738 ancient buildings, used simple drawing tools to draw architectural drawings that reached the world's advanced level at that time and were quite quaint, and left many documentary monographs, clarifying the context of the history of China's architectural development.
