At 3 p.m. on July 1, 1999, the ground temperature at the Tianjin Port Terminal operation site had reached 40 degrees Celsius. In such a high temperature, a working main door machine suddenly short-circuited and caught fire. The surface of the door machine has been scorched by the sun, and the temperature of the smoke-filled tin machine room has exceeded 50 degrees Celsius. Kong Xiangrui was impatient. At that time, due to the emergency of thermal coal in the power plants of the five southern provinces, the State Council urgently ordered the transportation of thermal coal. "Military emergency!" In that high temperature, Kong Xiangrui took the lead and was the first to enter the machine room. At that time, the machine room was like an oven. His eyes, corners of his mouth, and overalls were soon covered in sweat. He and his 5 co-workers sweated profusely, their throats smoked, and they drank 5 boxes of mineral water, but no one went to the toilet. Kong Xiangrui let the workers take turns out of the machine room to catch their breath, but he has been stuck in the machine room and kept rushing to repair. It wasn't until 11 p.m. that the fault was finally repaired and the loading operation could continue. Kong Xiangrui had been working in that environment for a full 8 hours. Kong Xiangrui's body was already as soft as cotton when he stepped out of the big jar, and he sat paralyzed on the ground, gasping for breath for a long time.
Second, diligent in learning, good at thinking
In 1972, at the age of 17, Kong Xiangrui was assigned to the Tianjin wharf. Tianjin Port is the second largest coal launch port in China, and Kong Xiangrui's job is to work as a door crane driver in such a port. In the end, they chose to use 10 individual jacks with a pressure of 30 tons to lift the 168-ton door machine to the plate, so that the door failure could be repaired. Since then, a new achievement has been produced, that is, a new apical bearing technology welded under a large flange.
Third, technological innovation, blue-collar experts
Kong Xiangrui has presided over more than 150 technological innovation projects and obtained a number of national patents. He decided that the bearing must have been damaged, and that the intact bearing was only an appearance. Therefore, he calmly directed the crane to turn the large bearing over, and the answer was finally revealed. It turned out that on the back of the large slewing bearings that were intact on the front, the balls had already been scattered out of the groove. Bearings like this, if used continuously, have unimaginable consequences.
Fourth, overcome difficulties and work diligently to open up
In 2001, Tianjin Port hit the throughput of 100 million tons. As the largest loading and unloading company in Tianjin Port at that time, Kong Xiangrui's six companies undertook 25 million tons of work, which required 18 door machines to do one-third more work than usual.
This is not something that can be done with some maintenance and maintenance. You have to work hard to come up with brilliant ideas. During that time, Kong Xiangrui has been thinking about how to improve efficiency. His mind was full of door machines, repeatedly chewing every movement of the door machine grab operation.
Emperor Tian did not live up to his painstaking heart, kong Xiangrui finally found a breakthrough after repeated observation and thinking. He found that when the door grabber was released, the grapple should first be lowered into the cabin, then opened and then raised. And the moment you open the grapple to release the material, the machine will have a small period of stagnation. Don't look at this small period of time, if you save a small period of time with each action, the work efficiency will be greatly improved.
Therefore, Kong Xiangrui studied with the technical backbone of the team, trying to find a way to combine the two movements of grappling open material and light hook lifting. In the wisdom of the group, they came up with a brilliant idea. They enriched the trajectory of the joystick movement from a "ten" shape to a "☆" shape, and controlled two actions at the same time with one command.
