Inheritance – let the father's spirit continue

"My father only spent 36 spring and autumn in his life, but he left us with a very valuable spiritual wealth." On the afternoon of June 24, the 90-year-old Fang Mei told reporters that she was born in 1932, her father visited her twice before she died, and the "Mei" in her name was a special "mark" left to her by her father. My father once said: "This girl was born in winter, fighting snow to welcome spring, take a 'plum' in her name!" "Her parents threw themselves into the revolutionary cause, Fang Mei was raised by her grandmother and adoptive parents, lived in the countryside as a child, and after the founding of New China, her mother Miao Min sent her to the school for the children of martyrs to study for four years.

After learning cultural knowledge, Fang Mei began to deeply understand his spiritual power from his father's writings.

Fang Mei recalled that in 1953, her mother gave her a precious book, "Lovely China", which was her father's last book. On the title page of the book, her mother's encouragement to her is written: "Mei'er, this book is your father's last words written with blood and tears in prison, you have to read it repeatedly, study hard, and use practical actions to inherit your father's unfinished business!" The words written by her mother were remade by Fang Mei and framed in a picture frame and placed at home. This passage, like a bright light, guided the direction of Fang Mei's life.

"I can't go on with my father's great career, but I can inherit his spirit." Fang Mei said that with this belief, she spent the rest of her life collecting historical materials about her father's battles. "My father can write more than 100,000 words in prison, and I am living in such good conditions now, why can't I write?" Fang Mei said that her father's spirit is admirable, and she has published two books at her own expense, one is the 400,000-word "The Complete Biography of Fang Zhimin" and the other is "Fang Zhimin and His Relatives".

Remembrance – Father will dedicate his life to the cause of revolution

"Only the Communist Party of China can save China, this is the belief and truth that my father insisted on, he compared the motherland to a mother, to save the mother, to save China." Fang Mei said.

Fang Mei told reporters that his father loved learning since he was a child, his grades were excellent, especially he learned English very well, and at that time, there were foreigners who valued him and wanted to invite him to work, but his father refused with a sentence: "I am Chinese!" ”

From 1927 to 1934, for eight years, Fang Zhimin carried out the agrarian revolution in the countryside of Jiangxi, and Miao Min followed her husband. "My father's dedication is what the party wants me to do, even though I will not give up!" Fang Mei said.

At the end of November 1934, Fang Zhimin was ordered to lead the Red Army's anti-Japanese advance team north to the north, and served as the chairman of the Military and Political Committee of the Red 10Th Army. In southern Anhui, he was surrounded and blocked by the heavy troops of the Kuomintang army, fought hard for more than two months, was besieged by an enemy army that was 7 times larger than himself, and finally was captured in January 1935 because he was outnumbered. Fang Mei recounted that on the day his father was captured, the Kuomintang soldiers searched his whole body, except for a pocket watch and a fountain pen, there was no money, just like in "Qing Poverty" written by his father.

On August 6, 1935, Fang Zhimin bravely rebelled in Xiashawo, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, at the age of 36. "My father devoted his life to the cause of the revolution." Fang Mei said with tears in her eyes.

Condolences - Father, I saw "lovely China" for you!

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and on the eve of July 1, Fang Mei wrote a letter of condolence to her father in the air.

Fang Mei told reporters that her father wrote in "Lovely China": "... It is true that the current China is of course a shattered country and a country that is poor, but who can assert that China does not have a bright future? ...... Friends, I believe that by then there will be active creations everywhere, rapid progress everywhere, songs of joy instead of lamentations, smiling faces instead of crying faces, richness instead of poverty, health instead of suffering, wisdom instead of ignorance, fraternity instead of vendetta, happiness in life instead of sorrow in death, bright gardens instead of desolate wastelands... Such a glorious day, never in the distant future, but in the very near future, we can believe in this way, friend! ”

"You wrote about 'lovely China', I saw it for you, and now China is better than you imagined..." Fang Mei told her father in the letter that China is getting richer and stronger, science and technology are becoming more and more developed, and the people's lives are getting sweeter and sweeter every day.

"Thinking of the source of drinking water, all this must be thanks to our great Communist Party of China." Fang Mei said.
