The movie "If One Day I Will Leave You" is based on the director's real experience, telling the story of Li Xiaoli (Xie Chengze), an exchange student who has just arrived in Japan, exchanges cold warmth and kindness with a group of strange fellow villagers, and finally parts as scheduled. At the beginning of the story, Li Xiaoli came to the remote "Fukunobe" in Tokyo, Japan, to study abroad, and he was obsessed with working but repeatedly ran into a wall, and finally with the help of his old classmate Qiu Qiu (Qiu Tian), he was taken in by the acting store manager Guan Wei (Qi Xi). However, the clerk Aoki (Niu Chao) regards him as a love enemy, and the kitchen master Lao Wan (Chen Yongzhong) and the little master Song Ge (Song Ningfeng) also ignore him...
Li Xiaoli's arrival broke the silence of the underground and became involved in the lives of the locals and this group of fellow villagers living at the bottom of the foreign country. On June 9 this year, "If One Day I Will Leave You" was shortlisted for the main competition section of the 23rd Udine Far Eastern International Film Festival in Italy, and was nominated for the best debut "White Mulberry Award" and held a world premiere. As one of the three Chinese-language films in the main competition unit of this year's Beijing Film Festival, the film also shows extremely high quality and market potential.
