"These days he started calling out to Mom and Dad, thank you for all you did, and now I didn't expect him to come back to us safely." This morning (17th), Wansheng police received a thank-you call from Mr. Guo, who lives in Zunyi City, telling them that they would take their son home and slowly evoke his memory by showing him photos from three years ago, and began to call out to his parents.
What really happened three years ago? Why would a family of three in Guizhou recognize their relatives in Chongqing Wansheng?
He disappeared from home on a bicycle three years ago
Xiaolong (pseudonym), a 16-year-old from Zunyi City, Guizhou, is the third oldest in the family, as well as an older brother and an older sister. Since birth, parents have loved this "child". But when Xiaolong went to kindergarten, his parents found that his younger son could not keep up with the learning rhythm of other students, so he took Xiaolong to the hospital for examination and found that Xiaolong had intellectual disabilities, and his intelligence at the age of 7 was equivalent to that of a 3-year-old child.
Despite this, the parents still love the little dragon, and the little dragon grows up happily. Xiaolong usually likes to ride a bicycle, and his parents also bought him a car. But on March 26, 2014, Xiaolong rode alone to the suburbs to pick bracken and disappeared.
It wasn't until one day in late April this year that Mr. Guo received a call from Chongqing Wansheng. Mr. Guo recalled that since Xiaolong disappeared, the family had been looking around, but had not received any useful clues. And this call made him unforgettable. The caller was Wansheng's police, who told Mr. Guo that they found that a boy in custody at Wansheng Psychiatric Hospital met the characteristics of Xiaolong, and through DNA comparison, it was also compared with Mr. Guo's DNA.
Parents and missing sons confessed
On April 27, with the help of Wansheng police and Zunyi police, Mr. Guo took his relatives and friends to Wansheng Psychiatric Hospital to visit Xiaolong, whom he had not seen for three years.
Mr. Guo said that when his son suddenly left home, the anxious family sent out search notices through local television stations and radio, visited and searched for places where Xiaolong appeared every day, reported the case to the local public security organs and viewed surveillance videos, and other measures, which lasted more than 1 month without finding Any trace of Xiaolong.
"Son, the three years you have been gone, let us think so bitterly!" On the day of the meeting, although Xiao Guo did not call out to his parents and mothers, the family who had been reunited for a long time could not suppress the emotions that had been suppressed for many years and cried bitterly.
Through the alarm materials of Zunyi police and Wansheng police that year, the police found that xiaolong was found to the police after being discovered by well-meaning citizens in Wansheng on the fifth day after riding away from home. Because Xiaolong could not provide personal identity, home address and other information at that time, the police then sent him to the aid station, and then sent to Wansheng Psychiatric Hospital for trusteeship. For the past three years, Xiaolong has spent time in the hospital.
DNA alignment reunites father and son
Mr. Guo was particularly excited about his son's sudden appearance, and he was also curious about how the police found his son.
Originally, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Public Security, the Wansheng police extracted the DNA of the xiaolong and entered it into the corresponding system in the process of collecting blood samples from all the lost and homeless people in the jurisdiction, and through the comparison of big data, the DNA of the rescued xiaolong and Mr. Guo, who lives in Zunyi, was compared. It just so happened that when Mr. Guo lost the case of Xiaolong, the Zunyi police took a blood sample and extracted DNA.
