On June 3, a wild monkey appeared in the bustling neighborhood of Tenjin in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, and about 30 police officers and city workers were busy pulling nets to contain it, but they were not successfully captured.
According to the head of fukuoka City's wild boar and other countermeasures departments, the monkey appeared around Hakata Station in the morning and then went to the area around Tenjin in the afternoon, and a monkey also appeared in the local area in December last year, when the police arrested it for two full days and failed to catch it.
Fukuoka City reminds residents not to approach the monkeys easily and to call the police immediately.
