Liu Cuihong graduated from Guangdong Ocean University (formerly Zhanjiang Fisheries College) in 1992 majoring in aquaculture, and after graduation, she was assigned to the Shandong Marine Aquaculture Research Institute and has been working in the front line of aquaculture and scientific research. She firmly believes that innovation is the core competitiveness of the enterprise, and in 2004, at the beginning of the establishment of Seglin, she joined hands with the Animal Nutrition Laboratory of ocean university of China to launch the first puffed and slow-settling multi-treasure fish feed. In recent years, factory shrimp farming has rapidly expanded from Shandong to Hebei, Liaoning, Jiangsu and other places, and as early as 2015, Seglin launched an innovative product - slow-settling puffed shrimp material for factory farming. Looking back on the development process of the past ten years, Liu Cuihong is very fortunate that the company she founded can survive. It is reported that Shandong has always been a large province of aquaculture, but due to the large number of varieties and scattered distribution, it is not conducive to the development of feed enterprises. With the increasingly fierce pressure of competition in the feed market, especially in the process of large southern group enterprises competing for the market in the north, the market share of a large number of local enterprises has shrunk, transferred or even closed.
It is in this environment that Seglin, with its unique product quality, continues to innovate in the field of special breeding. Changing the traditional breeding mode, especially in the research and development of high-end feed to replace fresh and miscellaneous fish, we have made outstanding achievements: in 2010, we developed grouper feed, in 2014, the special feed for Japanese shrimp - car shrimp treasure, the special feed for the Oriental redfin dolphin, the micro-particle shrimp fry feed - shrimp treasure, fish fat treasure, sea cucumber granule, sting shellfish and other innovative products, and in the application of aquaculture practice, it has been favored by the majority of farmers with its remarkable effect. In Liu Cuihong's view, factory farming of shrimp is the general trend of the future shrimp farming industry, and environmental protection is also the general trend of factory farming. Therefore, as early as 2015, Seglin launched factory-based high-end puffed shrimp feed, becoming one of the few slow-sinking puffed shrimp production enterprises in the industry.
As we all know, the puffing process represents a higher level of production than the hard pellet process, and now most of the hard pellet fish feed has been replaced by puffed fish feed, and even the crayfish feed that was very popular in previous years has mostly been changed to puffed feed.
In the past, the traditional farming of shrimp has always been dominated by hard pellet process, which has also led to the majority of farmers and friends being deeply affected by this, and it is difficult to change the breeding habits.
Now the field of factory shrimp farming has ushered in a new turning point, on the one hand, the output of factory shrimp farming is getting higher and higher, the highest per party has exceeded 40 catties; on the other hand, the pressure of environmental protection is increasing day by day, and tailwater discharge in Weifang and other places will begin to charge according to the flow, so it has become more and more difficult to rely on water exchange in the past to solve problems such as the deterioration of the water environment. It is foreseeable that puffed shrimp feed will achieve a breakthrough in the field of factory.
"Feed is the biggest source of pollution in farming." Liu Cuihong believes that to solve the problem of water quality and tailwater pollution, we must first start from the source. Feed pollution is the three major subdivisions of dissolved water, residual bait and feces, and Liu Cuihong believes that the puffing process is the best choice to solve this problem.
First, the puffing process can reduce the starch content, strong adhesion, even if soaked in the water body for 24 hours does not collapse, can maintain a very low loss rate, while the powder content is almost zero, the water dissolution rate is much lower than the hard granule, the water quality is stable.
Second, under the high temperature puffing, the degree of maturation of the feed reaches 100%, the digestion and absorption are good, the bait coefficient is low, the residual bait is small, and the water quality is good.
"After using the puffed shrimp feed, the nanotubes don't have to be cleaned." This is direct feedback from customers after use. Over the years, Liu Cuihong has become more and more confident in the promotion of puffed shrimp feed. The advantages of puffed shrimp feed are manifested in all aspects, and the amount of water exchange is reduced while maintaining a more refreshing water quality, and even the aerated nanotubes are not easy to block.
In general, under the same formula, the conversion rate of puffed shrimp feed is higher, which means that the ratio of ingredients is lower and less bad water. Therefore, in areas with high density, water exchange cost, heating and other high costs, puffed shrimp feed has a very prominent advantage. Nowadays, Shrimp Baole has been recognized by more and more farmers in the markets of factory shrimp farming, small greenhouses, intensive ponds and other markets with poor water exchange conditions.

Now, Seglin's new plant in Qingdao will be officially put into operation in October, with a feed production capacity of 100,000 tons. At the same time, in terms of equipment performance, process and production capacity, all-round improvement has been made, and Seglin will also increase market development efforts to promote high-quality puffed shrimp feed, grouper feed and so on to all parts of the country.
